After my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimers, I moved her to Colorado so I could oversee her care. She had been in 3 other facilities in the 5 years that she has been in Colorado, and although she made connections with staff and residents at the other facilities, I never saw her as happy and at home as she has been at Columbine Acres. She has been there for 7 wonderful months. Even when she is confused about where she is when we return from outings, as soon as we step through the doors she immediately has a smile on her face. She is always greeted by the staff warmly upon our return and she lights up. It is the only place she has been that she is ready to hug me good-bye as soon as we are inside.<br>The staff is amazing. Every person I have met that works there, from the staff at the facility, to the business office staff and managers are wonderful. The nursing staff are genuine, caring, and patient. I could not ask for a better place for my mother. I cannot say enough good things about Columbine Acres and I would recommend Gardens Care Senior Living to anyone who has a parent that needs assistance and supervision! Aside from being in my home with me, this is absolutely the best experience we have had.
