A new company purchased the facility and has been working non stop to get the building and staff back up and running the way it is supposed to. The staff is very caring and attentive. Things are definitely heading in the right direction.

Today when I picked up Papa to spend Christmas with us. He had holes in his socks, just slippers on, pj's and no coat. Now one knew where his winter coat was. His hair was a mess and he has cradle cap, like they don't wash his hair.

I was in the hospital for about a month. I had to go to nursing home for pt and ot. I was unable to walk or eat, they were very friendly, they helped me learn to eat and walk again. The kitchen fixed whatever i wanted or something i liked. Staff was very friendly and helped anytime i asked. Would go back again.

Terrible place! Lots of violations from the State. They should have closed the place down years ago! 2 nurses tried giving my mom the wrong pills and thank God my she caught it but other residents did not. I've had to call the state on them 4 times. The food was horrible too. They tried over charging too but didn't get away with it. The only time oxyen is available is if it's out of the residents own pocket and they have to go through the stress of setting it up themselves or their loved ones can but some residents don't have anyone to help them. If you witness something that shouldn't be happening please report it to the State of Iowa!

My short stay was horrifying, they lied to the Hospital social worker about having a wound vac available immediately and left me off the wound vac on 2 separate days without cleaning out and packing my wounds. There nurse on nights didn't chart on my temp or signs of infection being back, the administrator was rude and dominating talking to me like I was a child being scolded. The director of nursing and her assistant both lied to my face. They decided after I got there that they could not transport me to Physical Therapy. The night my Temp was 101.3 The nurse in charge told the staff not to go in my room and she never checked on me either, thankfully my cousin spent the night with me and took care of me. Because I was unable to stand or walk, the CNA's and nurses would put me on the bed pan and leave me, I went in with Immaculate skin even after being in the hospital for over 2-3 wks then after 4 days I had bruising and skin break down on my bottom and the back of my thighs. I would not recommend this place to my worse enemy. They should be shut down and not allowed to care for anyone.
