I recently witnessed an interaction at this facility that was very concerning and left me extremely uncomfortable. While standing in the hallway, I heard a woman identified as Stacy, who was described as being in a leadership position, speaking to one of the CNAs in an extremely rude and disrespectful manner.

As someone observing this interaction, I found it troubling to see an employee being spoken to that way. Respect and professionalism should be expected at every level of an organization, especially from those in leadership. The way employees are treated can have a direct impact on morale, staff retention, and ultimately the quality of care provided to residents.

I have often wondered why this facility appears to be short-staffed, and witnessing this interaction gave me some perspective on how difficult it may be for employees to feel valued and supported.

I sincerely hope the CNA involved was able to have a better day after that experience. No employee should feel humiliated or disrespected in the workplace. I hope management takes situations like this seriously and works to foster a more respectful and supportive environment for both employees and residents.

The facility is very modern, well kept, very clean, and welcoming. Staff treated my family member well overall. There were 2 CNA's that had absolutely no idea how to properly & safely transfer from wheelchair to bed & vice versa plopping my family member down which could have caused further injuries. They had no briefing on the medical condition & that there was a fall risk. We had to educate them. My family member always had visitors regularly at various hours of the day so that makes a difference normally on how a patient is treated. The meals were very decent. My family member really liked the food. Staff were pretty diligent overall, a few not so attentive & would not assist at meals, one night nurse who was very unattentive. Many sitting on their cell phones every time we visited while some residents were not able to feed themselves. I never smelled feces or urine in the hallways. The room though was not kept clean unless family did it (other than custodial dumping trash). I always had to clean poop spots from the toilet, clean the sink & clean up food particles from the floor.
The floor would have black dirt coming up when using a cleaning pad. One time my family member had same outfit on for 3 days! Social work department needs alot of work. They will leave the family & resident on their own to navigate through the process. They do the bare minimum. I also know another resident who states they're not pleased with some of the practices at this facility & they are looking to possibly transfer oot. Not the worst place but definitely needs improvement. Nursing homes overall have issues & I've seen so much worse.

My father has been receiving care at Friendship South on and off for two years. The nursing staff, therapists, receptionists, the business office, social workers, kitchen and housekeeping staff from A to Z are all a class act and have helped ease my mind about my father's care. The real genuine care and concern we've both received while he's been there is nothing short of amazing. I am truly grateful to each and every single person there.

Stay away from this place. First impressions were that it was relatively new, very clean, it smelled fresh and seemed very accommodating. In reality, it was terrible understaffed and most of the workers simply didn't want to be there. My wife spent 40 days there and I was with here 6 -8 hours a day. Press the call button for assistance, most of the time, help arrived in 45 minutes to an hour. Staffed by one RN and possibly four CNAs per wing, per shift. Many handled my wife like a sack of potatoes, one was was actually intimidating. Housekeeping would let us run out of towels for days at times. They would let my wife lay in a soiled bed pad for hours on some days. Baths were strictly scheduled. If she had physical therapy scheduled during bath time, she missed her bath for the week. CNAs would deactivate her call button, promising to return soon, showing up hours later. CNAs would hang out at the nurses' station, playing with their phones instead of doing their jobs. Do not place your loved one there.
