I dropped in to their facility without an appointment to get help with a referral for my dad. From the moment I walked in, everyone was soooo helpful! Special shout out to Pam for sitting with me and figuring out things. I did not feel rushed. Pam successfully got the ball rolling! All the home health care providers came out to my dad’s home so quickly. I think highly of all of them. Zero complaints!!! Thank you all so much!!!

This is for the Register Nurse who is caring for me in my home. It is hard to accept her advice when it comes to eating when she smokes. I suspected she smoked when she first visited. But yesterday when she came I got a good glimpse of her face which was so wrinkled and her deep lip wrinkles were obviously from smoking so much. I can smell the cigarette smoke through the house. It's next to impossible to hide cigarette smoke from me. I can tell she has put in many years as a Register Nurse and I hope she can stop smoking, giving her patients a good example. Our hospital should not be hiring smokers as professionals if it expects a healthy environment for them as well as the patients.

We used this service in April 2019, for my stepfather, had a really good experience with them. We chose them again in September 2020 for our mother, the biggest mistake we ever made! You only want the best for when someone passes, Franciscan hospice was the worst, we were completely on our own. My mother got released from the hospital on Friday, Saturday morning could not breathe, called the number on the red card they give you to put on your fridge, someone answered said there was no one to talk to at that time. Had to call a family member in Arizona who was in the medical field, we decided on our own what to do. Was told a medicine box would be delivered on Saturday did not come till Monday. We asked for a clergyman, did not get one. Besides the box a nurse was suppose to return Saturday evening with a couple of prescriptions, did not get them until Sunday morning at 11:00 am. And after discussing all these problems with them, their answer was it happened because it was the weekend! Totally wrong, we do not have a choice when we are going to pass. We were so hurt by this organization. Then on Monday evening two nurses showed up and called my mother Gladis how are you doing? Twice! My mother’s name is Nancy how pathetic you don’t even know who you are talking to? Then when I blew up over that, they gave a comparison to the police department making mistakes with the public. What does the police have to do with this? This is absolutely the worst hospice, our mother surely deserved better than this pathetic team. My mother passed later that evening.

Fransican Home Hospice is a very poor health provider. They give you no assistance if needed in between their normal 2 days a week visit. I would not recommend this service to anyone. Very, very poor service!

I want to start off by saying that our first greeting by the social worker was a great experience, she was very professional, but it went downhill from there fast. We had contracted them to come in and take care of our mother, but thought they were going to provided more services than they do(basic health care only nothing else). We were in the process of setting up more home care when the new RN came in and “demanded” to know what we were doing to give our mom more care. At this point we were in the process of trying to figure it out and could not give an answer at this time. She basically told us “I’m not going to loose my license over this because I have a family to feed and I’m not loosing my job and if you don’t tell me I will have to turn you over to Adult Protective Services”. WOW, this is coming from a Christian organization that lives by the Bible?? I think not. We did have a plan in the works but had not received confirmation yet. A couple of weeks later who knocks on the door? Adult Protective Services, who found out that they were misinformed about what they had actually found from their visit. I am writing this because there are other organizations that have hospice support. This organization is very unprofessional and are more interested in the money they receive than the people that they are taking care of. We have used Hospice before and have never had an experience like this.

Yes.
