As a new patient at Forestville Rehabilitation Center in Forestville, Maryland, there was no welcome package. I arrived at 6pm, medication due at 9pm. My information was sent over at 3 pm, and I am still waiting to receive my medication at 11:00 pm. I will be calling for an ambulance by 12 midnight due to a fracture and chip bone, and the medical team lacks any concern for the patient's transition into the facility. Such a carefree attitude with no concern for patients' limitations. Example: I can only stand on one leg. The CNA drops bedding on the bed and leaves my room.

Facility is clean. Staff are very helpful. We feel real care and concern from the whole team. I would like to take a moment to thank Jonathan from the back office. Thank you for taking care of our loved one, we were out of options till you came around. A big thanks from our entire family.

Wow! I have only the best things to say. This nursing home has helped my family tremendously. The nurses are kind and caring, the staff is attentive to all our needs, overall they have been great to us. Highly recommend!

Everyone at the facility is not only caring and warm, but also truly professional and attentive to each individual’s needs. The nurses are especially patient-focused, which is extremely important to us as they are responsible for caring for our loved ones. Highly recommend!

My faith in God, my husband some family friends kept me going in this facility, along with 3-4 of the aides, 3 nurses, the Director of Nursing and the former activities director who really cared about the residents on the days he was there. The Directer of the Rehab center and her team were amazing with the exception of one lady who needed to retire in my honest opinion. The amount of I'll treatment residents endure was deplorable. I was thrilled to leave this facility and prayed that something would be done to bring awareness of the situations happening in this facility. It smelled atrocious too often, and there were too many instances of a couple residents being left in waste for 45 minutes to 2 hours, or those walking around on the floor without clothing. Disgusting. The meals were lacking more times than not, and I've attached examples of what I received. The many times I had to remind them I do not eat pork or oatmeal, even when we met with the Dietitian and yet, agter being assured they have it in the system, I was still give. Pork and Oatmel. I see from the pics of the facility that there seems to have been updates. I pray that is really the case, and not just staging for the purpose of advertisement. There's way too much to say on this platform. I submitted my feedback however, I never heard from anyone. Also, the death rate is shocking as well. This facility is in desperate need of a complete overhaul of the sleeping rooms, the janitorial process, the culinary services, the administrator-who was supposed to fix the blinds in the room when I arrived. I left 2 months later and blinds were still damaged beyond repair. The facility knew I was arriving on a certain day, yet they were not prepared for my arrival and the EMTs had to make the bed. I was extremely disappointing and concerning. And this facility needs to do better!!! After all, they are being compensated.
