"Exceptional Care, Warm Atmosphere – A True Gem for Seniors" ★★★★★ Forest Hills Assisted Living is truly an exceptional place, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. My beloved 98-year-old aunt recently passed away, and she was a resident here. I can honestly say she absolutely thrived at this facility, receiving nothing short of exceptional, personalized care until her final days. From the moment you step in, you feel the intimate, warm, and welcoming atmosphere that sets Forest Hills apart. The staff are simply outstanding – consistently friendly, patient, and incredibly responsive. This was especially evident and reassuring during the challenging times of the pandemic, when their strong safety protocols gave us immense peace of mind. It's no surprise that Forest Hills is recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a 2023-2024 "Best" provider for Assisted Living and Nursing Home care. They offer a comprehensive range of services, including top-notch assisted living, specialized memory care, and skilled nursing, all delivered with a level of dedication that is truly commendable. Knowing my aunt was in such capable and caring hands made all the difference. Forest Hills provided not just a place to live, but a community where she was respected, cared for, and truly allowed to thrive. If you are looking for an assisted living community that combines personalized care with a genuine, heartfelt commitment to resident well-being, Forest Hills Assisted Living in Washington, D.C. is, without a doubt, the place to choose. They earned our family's trust and gratitude every single day. Alicia Y. Christy M.D.

My mother has been at Forest Hills for over a year, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have met such wonderful and caring people at Forest Hills. My mother has been very pleased with the way she was treated by nurses and staff, and we will always be grateful for your kindness and dedication to your residents. In fact, my mother even mentioned that she felt better cared for by the Forest Hills staff than by her own family members, and I am not surprised. I have witnessed the entire management team of Forest Hills staying in their offices overnight during snowstorms to ensure that residents are taken care of, even when staff cannot come to work due to snow emergencies. This is just one of many examples of your outstanding commitment. Thank you for doing such a great job and for your generosity and extraordinary care!

While there are some nice things about this facility such as gardens, food, and activities the nursing staff and aides leave much room for improvement. My mother was there for rehab and while she did receive rehab, there were days when she had to wait hours to receive help with wet pullups ( sometimes as much as 4 hours ) and problems getting basic ADL's completed. This is terrible for the person recovering to feel you are alone in a place designed to assist you. A much more egregious error took place here as well and attempts to file a complaint have certainly not been made easy. The licensing person listed on the wall who you can contact to file a report is deceased.I know no place is perfect and I was there as much as possible several times a week but this place needs to hire more compassionate staff and more competent ones.

My mother rehabilitated here after total hip replacement and I have nothing but gratitude and respect for the excellent care she received. The skilled nursing staff was professional and caring, the social and cultural activities were of a very high quality, the food was delicious and nutritious and the onsite a Physical and Occupational therapy facility was so convenient and expertly staffed. Thanks to everyone at Forest Hills for providing a real home to the residents and short termers as well.
