My elderly mother was looking to move up to Vermont to be near family back in March. Finding an affordable 55+ community was a daunting task for someone on a fixed budget. I reached out to falcon manor and connected with the property manager Ashley who just happened to have an apartment that was just becoming vacant. Application process was easy and my mother was able to move in a couple weeks later. She was worried that she wouldn't fit in, and not knowing anyone here was a challenge. I gotta say that quickly became a non issue as she already made friends quickly with other folks in the apt and absolutely raves about the place to anyone who will listen. Thank you Ashley for all the work you did to get J in there, she absolutely loves it and the small community there. R

I have to update my review now that the property has been sold to an out of state owner. MANY people have been evicted and moved voluntarily from Falcon Manor and Eagle Crest. The new owners (Aug 2023) came in and increased the rent, creating a further burden on the local homeless situation now, many people had to move or were evicted that had no place to go. Shameless! People are limited incomes but they call the rent increases "market value" and get away with this. The manager for these building is very rude and discusses tenants personal renting challenges in front of other tenants (have you heard of privacy laws?) They threaten tenants with "eviction" if they bring a concern up regarding rules they seem to make up as they go along. Their property insurance required them to make repairs when they purchased the buildings that are STILL outstanding. People fall in broken sidewalks, low toilets are supposed to be updated and these should NOT fall on the burden of the tenant to fix or pay out of pocket for. I will be reporting these concerns to local/state/federal housing authorities because it seems very shady and unfair practices. VT we need some kind of regulation regarding non-VT companies buying up rental housing and then tossing tenants out onto the street. DON'T waste your time at this apt building. These buildings are not safe, apartments don't include a security plate to keep vandals from popping open your door and the management charges tenants to add this feature, a $10.00 part from home depot and $25.00 to install it, but if you leave it stays. Tenants are paying out of pocket to upgrade apartments on their dime with NO reimbursement. If you do any of these upgrades on your own they threaten eviction. Multiple people have had break-ins and management won't even update simple safety and security for elderly people that live there.

I have lived here for 4plus years. It is safe. There is a new class of people there now...younger...and they are more active and make more noise in the hallways but overall it is a decent place to live. You can join in or not with the planned events. It is what you make it to be.

It is a nice place to live. Like any other place. It takes time to get used to . There is a large community room . Full Kitchen for private and community parties.
