Faith Friendship Villa of Mountville

Faith Friendship Villa is a licensed personal care home in Mountville, Pennsylvania, providing 24/7 supportive care for adults who cannot live safely on their own. The community serves 68 residents living with serious mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, and other complex needs.

Faith Friendship Villa has operated for more than two decades, beginning in 2001 when Steve and Patty Dietch purchased a historic home built in the 1860s and established the nonprofit to serve individuals in the Lancaster County area afflicted with complicated and persistent mental illness. The 24/7 supportive services residents receive, combined with care from the medical and psychiatric community and involvement of local churches and businesses, enable residents to live stable and thriving lives.

The facility operates on a model where funding covers less than 50 percent of care costs, requiring the organization to raise charitable donations to bridge the gap. The community is described as rooted in faith and friendship, where residents are known, cared for, supported, and treated with respect, regardless of whether they share the organization's Christian beliefs.
