The staff was wonderful for my mother. The place looked clean and didn't smell. The only problem we had was the Administration office was not good at all about returning phone calls it was like putting teeth to get a call. Scott completely ignores your calls.

Our loved one was there for nearly 2 years. He stayed very sharp and sound of mind, so fared well there. Most staff truly do care. However, those that don't care are hurting the reputation and putting loved ones’ lives in jeopardy. If you have a loved one in any care facility, you need to visit often, communicate with the staff, and persistently ADVOCATE for your loved one. Fair Oaks communication is very poor, except for the few staff members who really do care and will be honest in their communications. I had suggested having monthly care meeting with family, but answer was “no”. They did have resident meetings and whenever I my schedule permitted, I attended those meetings. Others mentioned bed bugs, they had an exterminator for bed bugs about 2 years ago, too. As others have said, there is no one to answer the front desk phone and when you leave a message (for administrator or nurse), they do not return calls. I have suggested that they get a communication system that will transfer calls to a phone that someone does answer. Or get an answering service. They had some emergency calls during the night when first responders were not able to enter the building because no one was at the front desk. I suggested getting a “lock box” for emergency personnel, but that also did not happen. They are excellent at sending the monthly rent bill. The on-call/in-house doctor, Palaniappan Muthappan MD is also very good at billing. He continued to bill for “Home Care” after our loved one passed mid- 2024! I even called and spoke with the doctor who apologized and promised it would stop. Nope. His last billing was for a “Home Care visit” in January 2025! Of course, Highmark denied all of the claims, but I consider this to be MEDICAL FRAUD. Beware! Ensure that he is really visiting your loved one or is he just sending automatic claims without a visit.

This facility is in a stunning location, hidden gem honestly! Never even knew it was there until I visit once for a loved one. The grounds and peacefulness of the location are wonderful, but the staff and interior did not disappoint. Everyone from the nurses, front desk, admin were are incredibly knowledgable and friendly. Feel very secure and fortunate to have a loved one in such great hands.

This is an absolutely beautiful community and a lovely setting. The apartments are newly remodeled. The food is restaurant quality. There are plethora of amenities throughout the community for your loved one to enjoy and experience. I also have firsthand knowledge of the care and dedication of the team. You will not find a more quality , caring and dedicated team environment for your family member to thrive in.

Thank you to all management and staff for creating a warm, engaged living experience for my mom from 8/1/19 to 5/29/21 when she passed. From the time we toured Fair Oaks back in 2107, we fell in love with the family-like ambiance, so when mom needed to transition to personal care living in 2019, it was an easy decision. Staff always engaged her in activities, treated her with respect and kept a watchful eye when situations warranted. Anytime I visited her I was welcomed on a first name basis and given an update even before I asked. Finding genuine compassion like that is priceless and I am forever grateful to all. Fair Oaks is a wonderful place for a loved one!
