RUN FAR FROM HERE! I feel terrible for the residents placed in this facility, and I also feel for many of the employees who have to work under these conditions because some of them truly cared and did their best. My mother stayed here for five months because other facilities in our area would not or could not accept her unless we could pay a significant amount privately or wait 8months plus to get her in. She walked into this place able to function physically and eventually became bedridden, seemingly neglected, and passed away two weeks after being hospitalized with rhinovirus. The facility constantly had issues with mice. We regularly found droppings in drawers, and the mice would chew through snacks we brought her, even when they were sealed in bags. Many of her sodas and snacks would end up gone within just a couple days too even though only the staff had access to them. While the cleaning staff often mopped and tried to maintain the building, it did not solve the infestation problem. Her mattress was also extremely unsanitary and her wheel chair pad would be soaked in urine and never cleaned. So we signed her up for Hospice for their benefits of a new bed mattress, a new wheel chair, and a bath aid / visiting nurse to help while I tried tirelessly to get her transferred but the paperwork NEVER updated to help get her moved and we were denied consistently. There were a few wonderful staff members that I truly loved, but the turnover rate was unbelievably high. It takes truly compassionate people to continue working there under those conditions with these type of people housed. One of the most traumatic experiences was finding my mother choking in her bed, vomit down her face, sweating, and struggling to breathe or speak. A new nurse on staff that evening assumed her hospice status meant comfort care only (THIS WAS FAR FROM COMFORT) and left her in this condition from around 3:00 p.m. until I arrived at 5:30 p.m. When I questioned it, I was argued with despite the fact that her hospice care was strictly for benefits and did not mean she should be denied treatment. The EMT later told me situations like this happen there frequently and that social services is often involved. I was even told that once facilities receive too many complaints or reports, they sometimes change names to avoid scrutiny. Beyond that, the toilet in her room barely functioned, constantly filling up and not flushing anything down and the bathroom floors were unsafe when she first arrived as pictured. She also developed a skin rash during her stay that required treatment and would get urinary infections often. Don’t even let me tell you how long she, and other residents, drank out of the same water cup without it ever being cleaned! Residents are supposedly entitled to monthly funds and transportation for outings or store trips, yet I never once saw residents taken anywhere besides outside for smoke breaks. The building itself was slowly being renovated, and they did decorate nicely for holidays, but minor cosmetic improvements cannot make up for the serious issues happening inside. Security also felt lacking, as it seemed almost anyone could enter the facility despite locked entrances. Calling at night was nearly impossible because no one would answer the phone and if I did get an answer I’d be placed on hold and forgotten. The day time was the best time to get an answer/transfer. If you have any possible way to place your loved one somewhere else, I strongly encourage you to do so. No one deserves to live or work in conditions like these. And the nagging hurt that I’m left with that this was our only option at the end of my mother’s life was here, is utterly difficult to carry.

This place needs new management. The residents dont have the supplies they need to do hygiene and personal care . Activities hardley do activities with the residents. Each resident comes in with clothes , and end up somebody else clothes on or with none at all. Laundry don't have a clue how to do their jobs. The food is horrible, the hospitality is horrible. Residents can't watch tv in their rooms because they have no outlets. The lock down unit is full of scabies, because the workers dont wash their hands or use gloves between helping each resident . There is no place for visitors to go to visit with family. Floors are dirty, mice run around all night throughout the facility.

This place is filthy ! Literally I can name plenty of reasons why toilets full of doodoo the residents beds have bleach stains covering them ! Place infested with rats ! Stinks all through out the facility they don’t fix anything unless state is in the building I’m finna expose this place those residents get abused & neglected every day !

Do not recommend! If you only knew how upper management handles their business matters, you would be appalled. Stay far away from this nursing home with your loved ones; find another place you can trust!
