My 90 year old mother lost her Dr. of 25 years. The only way we found out about him leaving was when I called to make am appointment was told he was no longer with the hospital. No phone calls or correspondence of any kind from the Hospital. No help finding a new provider. Most doctors she looked at are booked out till December. Was assigned a P.A. Who can't write prescriptions that Mom needs. Ephraim McDowell left her and many other in the dark. Zero assistance. I have left messages at the hospital. Never returned. This is unacceptable.

The doctors/nurses in the ER and ICU have been exceptional to my mother.

It's amazes me that a business this large makes it so difficult for a customer to pay a bill. I go to online site and it doesn't recognize my bill number. I call the number to pay and either have to hold for a long period of time or leave my number and someone calls back days later at a time I cannot take the call. Today I get an automated call to call a number to pay my bill and is that a person who can take my payment of course not it is a system that wants me to enter in information for 10 minutes before I can talk to someone. Whoever is over billing and collections here must have a horrible collections percentage because unless you are willing to go there in person or dedicate an hour of your life to go through numerous systems you can't pay them if you want to.

I don’t usually write reviews and the name above isn’t my name for privacy reasons but the way I was treated at this hospital was really disrespectful. I had an abscess wound and the nurse and doctor were very rude. First, I was sobbing and in a lot of pain and they offered no compassion, which I understand they needed to do their job, but this wound was at the base of my spine/in an embarrassing spot and they asked my husband if he wanted to watch while they poked and prodded at it to try and make sure no more infection came out. I said no because I felt exposed and vulnerable and just didn’t want him to watch that. In their defense, I do get that he is my husband so maybe they didn’t think it mattered, but it mattered to me, and it was very uncomfortable when they completely dismissed my lack of consent and told him to watch anyway while I was laying on my stomach sobbing in pain as they prodded at my open wound.

Marriage does not waive a patient’s right to privacy and consent. Undermining a patient’s boundaries during a moment of intense pain and vulnerability is unacceptable for medical professionals (or anyone, really). The staff here are in desperate need of training on compassion, respect, human decency, and patient autonomy.

Horrible wait times, nurse's act like this isnt a job and set and talk about goin shopping or their next trip. If you ask a nurse about something or for something thats a inconvenience to them. Plan on a 3 hr minimum wait time and doctors are in no hurry. Honestly a 24 hr vet would probably give better service.
