The therapists who have shown up have been kind and helpful; the scheduling, the several no shows, the not calling to schedule when they say, and general handling of our at-home visits and preparing for in-office appointments have been most unprofessional and have inconvenienced us and our planning around. Would not use again, until their service and communication is much improved.

We were blessed with these Angels during this past year with my mom in law. From the very first visit, not only was my MIL treated like family but we were too. I could never say enough amazing things about each and every single person we had the pleasure of meeting. They helped from the very smallest things right up until the very end. I could not have made it through without ENHABIT home health and ENHABIT Hospice by my side. They are all my extended family for life.

Problems from admission throughout. First, weekend admission nurse didn't know about the referral which was received the Thursday before. Then was told that spouse could give the IV medication until someone could come out Monday. Although she did come to do the admission because spouse was physically not able. Subsequently the nurses didn't come as ordered on the days they were to get blood, but several times put it off until the next day. Evidently did not have a case manager and when the office was called for anything they could not help. Very disappointed in care received.

I cannot say enough about this organization. Prior to my grandmother’s evaluation, I did not even really understand what being on hospice entailed.

But the staff at Encompass walked me through every step of the process, and ensured I always had a contact (Sonya, one of the kindest and most empathic people I’ve ever met) for whom I could reach out concerning any questions or advice.

They provided equipment for my grandmother that I wasn’t aware she needed, they sent nurses here frequently and had one on call for weekends and evenings, arranged for “Meals on Wheels” to provide hospital food to my door, they even had a bath girl who would come over to keep my grandmother clean, and a chaplain who regularly stopped by to pray with her (because someone noticed she always wore a cross around her neck and asked about her missing church services — how thoughtful is that? It never would have occurred to me to ask them for these resources; they just saw what she needed and offered it.)

Because of Encompass, my grandmother died while maintaining a degree of dignity and comfort that I never could provided alone. And the services did not end there. On the morning I found my grandmother unresponsive, I called them and within an hour a nurse and the courier service both arrived and transported transported my grandmother to the funeral home before my children awoke, which saved us all from the trauma of them witnessing any of it.

Sonya even drove a considerable distance to pay her respect at my grandmother’s small service yesterday, and to offer condolences and continued support through the grieving process, to my family.

I highly recommend this group to anyone considering their services. It was recommended to us through my grandmother’s insurance, and I feel incredibly lucky for that.
