About Empress Care Center

Empress Care Center, LLC is a nursing home located in San Jose, California, offering short-term rehabilitation and long-term care services to residents with varying levels of need.

The facility provides on-site therapists to support resident treatment and recovery. The community recognizes that selecting an appropriate care level can be confusing and works to address individual resident needs and interests in determining the right services for each person.

Empress Care Center has implemented comprehensive infection control measures in coordination with county, state, and federal health agencies. The facility maintains separate units for residents with confirmed COVID-19 (the "Red Zone") and those under observation (the "Yellow Zone") to prevent cross-contamination. Daily staff screening, including temperature checks and questionnaires, is conducted before resident contact, and staff are required to use prescribed personal protective equipment.

Outside food and beverage deliveries can be arranged through the Social Service Department. The facility maintains a policy of transparency regarding confirmed infections, notifying residents and their representatives within 24 hours of a single confirmed case or three or more staff or residents with new respiratory symptoms occurring within 72 hours.

Empress Care Center took care of my father for three weeks and exceeded every expectation. The staff was compassionate, highly professional, and wonderfully attentive — and they kept our family informed every step of the way. It is rare to find a place where the quality of care matches the warmth of the people delivering it. Empress does both beautifully. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a facility they can truly trust with their loved one

TLC tender loving care. Everyone had a smile and cheered me on. So many nice people. Vickie and Rowena's physical therapy got me walking again. Hector, Carl and Sonny are my knights in shining armour with strong arms. Jessica and Emily the chaos coordinators in the activity room. April, Jane and Lydia made sure I was comfortable. Veronica and so many who cared for me. I cant name everyone. The BEST care. Barbara Wilma I cant forget you.

Bad experience at this place with my mother. My mother could not move her arm Saturday may 24, 2025. I just visited her that morning and she was good. Went to visit her Sunday morning and I noticed her arm was swollen and she couldn't move it. She said I can't move my arm. I was so upset, I asked her how long was she like this and she said since yesterday. I asked her if she said anything to the nurse and she said she did and they gave her Tylenol since her knee was bothering her too. I asked the nurse Erica on Sunday what happen and she said she didn't know anything was wrong. she also said the nurse from the day before did not write anything down about my moms complaint. I also asked did anyone notice her arm? The rest of the afternoon, all night and sunday morning? My mom told one of the workers about her arm on Saturday during the bingo activity and he notified the nurse right away. Come to find out no Dr was called and I wasn't called either. My poor mother was left alone all night thinking she had a stroke as this is one of the symptoms. I do NOT recommend this place. If I didn't come visit her what would have happened to her. She is in the hospital now and no stroke, thank God. Also, Its funny how the office Monica called me to say they can't hold a bed for my mom because shes in The hospital and doesn't have a second insurance but they couldn't call me to say your mother can't move her arm!!! I picked this place because it was listed the best nursing home, I don't know how. This is my complaint. Oh I also asked for a form to write a complaint and funny no one can give a form. So here is my complaint!!

Came in last week to do a facility tour with Cory and really loved the facility. It is in a great location right by Campbell. The nicest part about the facility was that during my tour all of the staff, from nursing to housekeeping, smiled and greeted me as I passed by.
