My sister and I are so very grateful for the 3-1/2 years Mom had at Elk Run. Mom was comfortable in her room, the food was the best, she made good friends with fellow residents, and the staff genuinely seemed to care for and love Mom. My wife (who is a care home nurse) thought highly of the care Mom received. Elk Run will be an integral part of my final memories of Mom.

Mother lived at Elk Run 3 and a half years. During that time I marveled at the genuine kindness exhibited by staff and residents and the family members who became part of the community. We joined Mother multiple times a year for special meals and again marveled at the top notch food offered. Other medical professionals like hospice confirmed that Elk Run is an exceptional facility. I was so grateful that even when times may have gotten hard, they were always patient and caring.

We are beyond thankful for Elk Run. It has been so convenient to be able to drive a short distance to visit my father. Having a high-level facility up here in the mountains is a blessing. The atmosphere at this facility is one of love and compassion. From the staff at the front desk to the facility personnel to the caretakers, our dad has always been in great hands. The food is another example of the exemplary service Elk Run provides. The daily meals each week taste great, were fresh, and high quality.<br>My dad adored Mary through his years at this facility. She loved and took care of him so tenderly. Elk Run allowed us to keep our father there through his entire end-of-life care. We brought in hospice and they worked as a team to care for him and keep him comfortable.

Elk Run has compassionate staff that truly care, going above and beyond to support their residents. They treated us like family, continually exceeding expectations, especially during difficult times, and providing an atmosphere of dignity and love. Their communication was great. The food is delicious. Their nursing staff was excellent. Highly recommended. I have so much respect for the work they do.

My father has been at Elk Run for a while now and I have to say I am impressed by the staff every day and amazed by the staff every day, every time I walk in I’m greeted by smiles and warmth. I do have to mention there are two stand out stars amongst all these amazing stars. Miguel the Executive Director and Carol the Activities Director. They are every where, whether it is at a evergreen community marketing event, picking up someone from rehab theirselves, doing an activity, serving a resident a meal , or even as simple as fixing a tv for . This is what means to be part of a community. I’m so happy by dad resides at a caring and loving community.
