If I could give them a minus 10 I would, other than the wonderful nurse Brittany that was able to come in and take care of my mother-in-law once a week. They were the reason they pushed my mother-in-law into a nursing home manipulated my brother-in-law into being POA which caused her death within a few days. She walked in talking eating drinking in good condition, after the second day third day fourth day fifth day They drugged her up to the point she was falling every day. My thought was their daily visits over at the nursing home They would have looked into why she constantly was falling. We had no communication whatsoever!! In fact we were never told of the daily falls until she was a complete vegetable , and unable to eat drink or communicate laying in bed.. next to a roommate staring at us with a loud TV. We still don't even know what happened nobody gave us details, very distressing! I was her main caregiver 7 days a week for a year! Nobody knew her as well as I did! They did nothing to prevent the falls continued to drug her up until she died a horrible death withering and pain in her bed not eating or drinking for almost 4 days in a noisy semi-private room instead of putting her in a room by herself to die in peace. The so-called Care staff would show up every Friday to take stats have a little chit chat and push her into a nursing home. My mother-in-law did not deserve to die the way she did! They should be ashamed of themselves for what they did to her and you would have thought they would have gave better care once she was in the facility and stop drugging her up until she fell so many times it caused her demise. After the first day she fell and hit her head , gashed her arm You would think they would have showed up more often or talked to the facility or stopped giving her drugs but nope. (I have pictures of every injury) I hope they feel good for what they did to her and they would never treat their mother like that. Very very very disappointed They claim to care but yet they didn't do anything to prevent the woman from continually falling when she never had one fall prior to the admission. Worst company on this Earth. I have absolutely no words for these people if it would have been up to me I would have fired them long ago and hired hospice of Northwest Ohio! Buyer beware pop-up companies like elara do not own a facility like hospice of Northwest Ohio so when your loved one is dying in pain they have no place to go and if they're in a nursing home they pop in a couple times to say they were there and bill Medicare maybe give them a few hits of a drug and call it hospice. If I could put a title on this review it would have been "How to kill your mother in 10 days" I will be including them in my lawsuit Edit.. I did attempt to call Elara to have a discussion with them to possibly find out what could have been done better or what happened, They immediately put me on speaker phone and when they heard my name their attitude was very very nasty and said we cannot talk to you and they actually hung up the phone on me!!! Un believable.. my intention was to have an honest conversation with them which they refused and were very nasty towards me! Everybody who knows me knows I am a very kind, caring reasonable person, I am a huge advocate for the elderly and for Elara to treat me like this when I called tells me volumes... Put yourself in my shoes! Think about if this was your mother, your sister, your friend. 23 or 93 everyone's life is important and everybody should be treated with dignity. Ps.. what's most disappointing?? Me being in the health care industry for 50 plus years and I wanted to just have an honest nice conversation on what I felt like with done wrong and what could be done better in this case that ended badly.. I had no intentions of seriously being nasty but elara refused to take my call or even speak to me!! Even when I told them it had nothing to do with Hipaa I just wanted an honest discussion with answers generally they refused this tells you volumes

After my double knee replacement, I credit my recovery to the outstanding home care I received at Elara Caring. Olivia and Mary are not only kind and compassionate, but exceptionally professional and effective therapists. Their expertise, encouragement, and dedication helped me achieve progress I wasn’t sure was possible. If you have a choice for home physical therapy, I wholeheartedly recommend Elara. The care is exceptional, and Olivia and Mary are simply the best!

Very disappointed. With PT. I hate to write a bad review but just getting someone on the phone was a problem And they refused my doctor's orders. For ongoing therapy and nursing too worried about the money. always saying they have to follow guidelines. They have such a large turnover with the hospitals in the area. Good luck. I should have checked their reviews THE CNA WAS GREAT

Elara is a great company! They treated my Aunt well even though they are based in Toledo and my aunt was located an hour from the main office. They collaborated with the facility staff and would come on different days so that someone was there often. They updated our family too. My aunt started with a different hospice and it was not great. When she started with Elara, it was a welcomed change from what she had before. I wasn’t the decision maker, but I could see for myself the difference it made and she was only with them a few weeks. I have already recommended Elara Hospice to others. I’m thankful for them.

I can't say enough about what a wonderful care my mother rece8ved through Elara Caring Hospice. Our nurses and aides were phenomenal, particularly Brandi and Brittany. They helped to make our worst days and weeks so peaceful and comfortable. They provided wonderful medical care as well as emotional support. From the moment I met Kim, the care coordinator who met with us to set up hospice care, I knew we found the right company. She was so incredibly warm and kind. She was completely transparent about the care Elara provides and how it compares to other programs. She never made me feel like I was being pitched a sale and encouraged me to explore all the options out there. I did, and nothing compared to Elara. My meetings with other pallative care provider companies felt cold and clinical. That was the last thing we wanted during such a heartbreaking time of having to let go of our mom. Kim stayed in contact throughout our journey. Checking in to make sure we were ok and had everything we needed.... Both my mom and me. I am forever grateful to her and the team she assigned us. My mom never experienced a day of anxiety or discomfort. Her pain was proactively managed and she looked forward to every visit from her care team. From beginning to end of our journey, the experience was better than I could have hoped for. I would recommend Elara to anyone looking for superior care and support.
