My mother spent 6 years at Edgewood in East Grand Forks where she was treated very well. She was a talented pianist and even during her last year when she didn't know me she could still play well and was allowed to do so. Even when she was reduced to being in a wheelchair she wasn't stuck in a corner with the brakes on she was allowed to scoot around the facility. Residents there are treated to real food not just something poured out of a soup can. The people working there treated mom with dignity and were always welcoming to me and my dogs on our weekly visits. I am so thankful for these people that made dealing with my mother's dementia as good as it could be.

Our mom has been at Edgewood EGF for 2 years now, and we are so happy with the care she is receiving! The staff shows so much love and care for her and each one calls her by name. My mom is a hugger, and she receives many hugs a day from the staff. Thank you to all the staff for giving of yourselves day in and day out and treating our mom like you would treat your own.

this place is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!! My mother in law was unfortunately placed here, she was indigenous as well, and the family was NOT ALLOWED to have ANY sort of prayer services for her, UNLESS (we were told) WE TOOK HER OUTSIDE, INTO THE WINTER WEATHER, and had their ceremony outside, they did not allow them to do that in the facility what so ever, and the person (LUKE) that runs the place, was extremely rude and disrespectful towards her and the rest of the family, including threatening to call the cops on the family, and including throwing them out, because we didnt think it was right that she should be rolled outside as she was DYING and into the march weather at 830-900 pm!!! LUKE IS AN ABSOLUTE P.O.S. FOR THAT!!! IF YOURE NATIVE AMERICAN, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOUR LOVED ONES!!!! MY MOTHER IN LAW DIED AT THIS PLACE, AND THEY WERE EXTREMELY RUDE, AND DISRESPECTFUL TOWARDS HER, AND HER FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF WE COULD GIVE THIS PLACE LESS THAN ONE STAR WE WOULD!!!!!!!!!!! BEWARE OF THIS SLUM!!!!!!!

I find the staff helpful and always answers any questions that I have about my Father's care. He enjoys the staff and says it is a very nice place to be. I have been there to visit numerous times at meal time and the food looks amazing and the residents always get plenty of food.
