My father has been with Eden Terrace for a couple of years now. He loves the place because of the helpful staff except for the medication management. He pays extra for this medication management. He is 89 years old with dementia and his doctors put him on a patch to help him with his memory. This patch is supposed to stay on his body for 24 hours. Well when I would get him to come spend the week with me he would wake up the next morning and I would give him his medication including putting his memory patch on but there has been numerous instances where there was two patches already on him. I quickly brought this up to the head nurse in charge and the director of the home. They assured me that it wouldn’t happen again, but low and behold I picked him up for the Fourth of July 2026 to spend the week with me and my father was dressing and had his shirt off and he not only had one, not two, but three 24 hour patches on him. I was furious and again I brought this up to the medication tech, this was Saturday July 4th, 2026. I had a talk with the director again (Cindy Hughes) on Monday July 6th when she returned. I told her this was unacceptable their system was broke and I wanted this fixed for the life of my father. Cindy Hughes said she would look into this and call me before the end of the day. She called me and wanted us pictures of my father’s back with the three single use patches on him and I obliged. She then called me right back and said she fixed it that they contacted my father’s doctor and had his patch switched to a pill! That is a cop out and they didn’t fix the problem they just put a band aid on it!!

I had a great tour with Lesa and even spotted a friend I had not seen in years. I am not ready to move yet, but I know where I will be going. I love the Deluxe apartment.

When looking for a place for our mom she decided she wanted to go to her home town of Spartanburg. We are so glad she did because we found Eden Terrace. This has been a God send for her and our family. The facility is beautiful and the staff is AMAZING!! My mom is 91 and while she may not remember things she is having a blast and has made great friends. If you are in need of assisted living for a loved one PLEASE check out Eden Terrace.

We needed a safe place for mother and found her Eden Terrace of Spartanburg.<br>We toured the facility and saw how well furnished the building is and how many activities she would be able to do.<br>She absolutely loves her apartment and we can’t say enough about the staff, they are always at the ready to help her in any way they can.<br>Mother loves the food and the fellowship in the dining room.<br>We could not be happier with the care she receives!<br>Thank you Eden Terrace of Spartanburg!

Being in the health profession, I always strive to treat my patients and their families in the way that I would want mine to be treated. This is what I have found with the Eden Terrace staff. I brought my mom to Eden Terrace after being at another ALF for 4 years, after she suffered a stroke that changed all our lives. Mom was a 87 year old vibrant woman who taught me a strong work ethic. This was a difficult transition for her going from totally independent to depending on others for assistance with her ADL's. It was also life altering for myself and our family, as our lives were majorly changed as well. From the moment I contacted Cindy and explained my story and our difficulties while at Lakewood ALF, she listened attentively, showered me with compassion, and offered to pray with me on the phone at the end of our conversation. That meant the world to me and I knew this would be somewhere that I definitely wanted to explore more for my mom, who I love dearly. My daughter and I took mom for a visit, she left saying the people were "all nice." It was a difficult transition as I was concerned about moving mom from a place that had been like her home for the last 4 years. I prayed for the Lords will in this situation, I cried, and I struggled. I lost sleep, lost some weight, which was okay, and found it difficult to work as a RN Case Manager because my thoughts were scattered. I found myself crying in the shower, wearing sunglasses to hide the tears from my family, and attempted to find other ways to hide my struggles. I searched scripture, and at first felt the Lord giving no answer, but as the situation continued to unfold, it was clear that he wanted me to move mom and in that still quiet voice told me peace would come. The day before moving to Eden Terrace, I messaged Cindy and explained how my mom had been neglected for the last 12 hours from the prior ALF. I ask if there was any way we could get her moved to Eden Terrace because I couldn't leave her there any longer. She immediately responded with this is what we need to do to get your mom here today. That was what I needed to hear most at that time. The staff at Eden Terrace have embraced my mom and my family. Cindy and her staff have become a beacon and such a bright light in our paths. I could not imagine going this journey any longer without the relief that I have received for my mom's care and my struggles. Since being at Eden Terrace, I have felt most comfortable in my mom's care, I have been able to sleep better, and have a peace that passes all understanding. I am thankful for the Lord's presence in my life and the direction he has led me in. Since the move to Eden Terrace, my burden has become much lighter as I feel my mom is getting the care and attention she and every elderly person deserves. She is respected, she is handled with dignity, and she feels the love there. She often tells my brother when asked how it is in one word "better." I can now visit my mom and answer the phone without the fear or dread that I have felt most for the last year. I would not hesitate to recommend Eden Terrace to anyone looking for the benchmark in care for an Assisted Living Facility. I love and thank all the people there for what they have and are doing for us.
