My mother fell in this facility after a stroke since they didn't implement any safety protocal for her since it was the holiday she had to wait. Don't send your family here, use another facility. They have no compassion for their patients.

My 82 year old father was recently placed at Double Tree Post Acute in Sacramento and we are so happy with the care he is receiving from staff. He’s been at two different hospitals and two rehab centers since end of February and Double Tree is an elite facility compared to the others. The room is brighter, bigger & the facility is much quieter than previous ones. The staff are amazing with him, ensuring he eats, is changed when necessary, and they treat him kindly with dignity & respect. He’ll never come home as he’s declining rapidly from dementia & other health issues, and it’s so comforting to know he’s well taken care of & see them interact with him, even if he can’t respond. We’ve met his nurses Priya & Lachan, and they are both AMAZING! So thankful he was placed @ Double Tree.

My mom is a current patient at this facility and yesterday was my first time visiting her since she’s been transferred from Kaiser. This place is poorly run, managed, and the quality of care is poor. The facility is very outdated and it seems that it is operated on donated or hand-me-down equipment. Some staff are nice but many are not, and completely clueless; often times these staff members ignore patient needs. The patients look bored and/or miserable. One patient was screaming for milk for roughly 45 minutes before she stopped but it shouldn’t have taken this long to tend to a patient, any patient. The cabinets are falling apart, the TV’s barely work properly, there is no air circulating through the facility which also impacts the patients, and they’re stuck waiting for assistance for more than 30 minutes. The staff lacks medical knowledge and forms of treatment, which is concerning. This facility is in a terrible area and the conditions look and feel unhealthy for anyone to be let alone patients. It’s frustrating getting anyone to communicate with you or get answers about next steps. After my first visit, I don’t understand how this facility is still running without any investigation or fines issued. It needs to be shut down. Update as of 6/13: My mom was transferred to another nursing facility, one that’s in a better area with better staff that actually help, listen, and are more supportive. I spoke to several others, both past patients and former medical staff about Double Tree and they highly recommended to get any loved one out of this facility asap. They communicated that staying here will slowly kill the patient as care will get worse. Update (3/25/24): This is a very late update but my mom passed away on 8/11/23 and life has just been messy since. She left her dog behind which I’m now the guardian of but hopefully anyone who has a family member at Double-Tree gets them out of this place.

Went to visit a family member. Staff is always kind and helpful. The facility is always clean and well taken care of. My family member is also very happy when I come to see her. She loves when I bring her something to eat and drink especially Mexican food and cheesecake.

My friend’s dad was a patient at Double Tree Post Acute and when we visited her dad I was very impressed. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and very family oriented. I saw how they treated there patients and they treat them like there own family. I also liked that the staff were very diverse. My friend and her family told me that they really took care of her dad and the service that they provided was very good. I would definitely recommend this facility.
