When I visiting my loved one in Dock Terrace, The CNAs and Nurses were all on their phones and dancing both in the hallway and at the desk , meanwhile residents are yelling for help. This is. very unprofessional and I cannot believe this place is still in business! I wonder if Ed Brubaker or Alex Metricarti even care about the residents experiences??

I can’t say enough good things about Dock Woods. My mother lives there and we love it for her. The help is so kind and caring. It is a beautiful place and I couldn’t be happier with it.

I visited Dock Woods a couple of weeks ago to have lunch with my son. I have to say I had an amazing experience. The campus is beautiful and appeared very well maintained. I had the pleasure of meeting a handful of employees who were all so kind. The meal was delicious with a short wait time too. I was very impressed and look forward to trying something new on my next visit. I have been told that Kate and Curtis in Dining Services do an amazing job leading their department but now I have been able to finally witness it first hand. Thank you

I visited dock on 12/12/2025 around 12:40pm went to get lunch from the kitchen area. This was my first time going so I was unfamiliar with the process of ordering food. I feel like the chef guy who is operating the grill making burgers and cheese sandwiches. Was very rude when it came to make an option that’s provided on the menu. He was very bothered by my request for a cheesesteak. He kept shaking his head in disgust and throwing the meat on the grill aggressively. And saying things it made me feel very uncomfortable. After all food was complete he follows me over to the cashier and and proceeds to talk about the land of the free and how this country isn’t free so on and so forth. Also there was a resident as well that keep asking me why do I have my phone out and am I taking pictures and basically trying to figure out why was I in the building asking me did I have a id card. This is all while I’m in line to pay the chef didn’t walk off until I paid. Which I find is very odd and I felt very unsafe and really uncomfortable. So I would like to ask is this mennonite community African American friendly? Or is this a prejudice community? I NEVER TOOK A PICTURE OF ANYONE OR ANYTHING I HAD MY PHONE OUT TO PAY WITH TAP to be very clear. Also I didn’t see your community member asking anyone else questions at the barista so what Separated me from everyone else. I am very aware when I am being treated unfairly. He was not welcoming he wasn’t overly enthusiastic he was VERY RUDE. It’s no excuse for the behavior I experienced from staff and your community members. In do time people will see and know. I don’t see this behavior changing.

We have lived at Living Branches/Dock Woods for almost 13 years and never have regretted coming here. It is a comfortable community where you can be yourself. My husband likes the relaxed atmosphere and he says he has felt at home ever since we came here. I sense that people are more "other centered" and caring, both residents and staff. We love our apartment which is perfect for us. The activity director goes out of her way to provide a spectrum of activities from which we can choose. The layout of the building in which we lived makes it possible to easily get to the shops, wellness center, chapel, gym, library, game rooms, and eating facilities, especially during the winter when the weather prevents one from going out safely.
