⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars is not enough to express my gratitude for the incredible care my dad received here. From the moment he arrived, the staff treated him—and our whole family—with the utmost respect, kindness, and dignity. The nurses, aides, and administration went above and beyond every single day to ensure he was comfortable, safe, and truly cared for. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such excellent hands. I am infinitely grateful to the entire team for their dedication, love, and compassion. Thank you all for being such a blessing during a challenging time! 🤍✨

I am writing to formally express my profound disappointment and serious concern regarding the care my 80-year-old mother received during her stay at Diversicare. Despite her being at the facility for over a week and showing steady daily improvement, it became painfully clear that the staff was unaware of her critical medical condition and history. My mother, admitted due to fluid accumulation around her lungs caused by heart failure, was treated as if the issue was unknown to the nursing staff. Although she rarely complained—except about the food—they failed to investigate her pain appropriately. When I visited with my brother, it was obvious that the nurses did not understand why she was there. I had to explain her condition and medical background, and only after insisting was an ambulance called within ten minutes. Upon hospital admission, 40 to 50 ounces of fluid were removed from her lungs—an alarming fact the facility had completely overlooked. From my personal experience caring for family members with serious health issues, I believe the operations at Diversicare reflect a disturbing disregard for patient welfare. The staff seems more focused on deflecting responsibility than addressing genuine medical needs, especially for vulnerable patients who "never complain." While some nursing staff appear to care, they seem silenced by those with more experience but no empathy. The lack of proper care and attention I witnessed is unacceptable and, frankly, comparable to some of the worst neglect imaginable. I strongly urge that Diversicare’s practices be thoroughly reviewed and that serious reforms be implemented. This facility currently prioritizes convenience over quality of care, putting vulnerable individuals at significant risk. The neglect and ignorance I experienced lead me to believe that, had my brother and I not intervened, my mother's condition could have had fatal consequences. It is imperative that this facility no longer be allowed to operate without significant changes to its approach and oversight. The exploitation of patients who are not wealthy is utterly unacceptable, and I am committed to advocating for the closure of such negligent institutions. Thank you for your attention to this critical matter. I look forward to your response and a detailed account of the steps that will be taken moving forward.

This facility was one of the worse places I have EVER had to visit. My husband was there a few months ago and he kept getting infections because the staff wasn't cleaning and changing his bandages properly. My husband fell there twice and he had to tell me he fell. The staff said nothing until I asked them about it. I tried speaking with management about the situations that kept occuring and all I was gave was excuses. Half of the staff there is rude and very uncaring about the people that live there or receive any treatment there. I wouldn't leave my worse enemy there. I even overheard nurses laughing and making jokes about certain patients there that hadn't received baths in months. If you have family members there Please check on them regularly because that place is horrible.

My mother who has dementia had a fall at home and she requires rehab. I am a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Rochester NY. My father asked my to help choose her rehab. We settled on Big Springs because they are a 4-star facility, staffed well and have an amazing rehab department. All nursing staff have been amazing and tentative to my mother‘s needs. Based on our experiences I would suggest Big Springs. My mom is safe, and receiving the care she needs to return home. Thank you to all the staff at Big Springs!
