While living at the Colonial Inn one man died and left his apartment a mess. Shortly after that I moved to a different apartment there and was billed for repairs to Michael's apartment which they claimed was done in the unit I vacated. I managed to get out of that expense by providing evidence that proved i had never lived in the unit with the damage. A few years later I vacated this place to move where I could receive the care I need. Now they claim I owe them over $2000 for damages to the apartment I vacated. I paid it in protest via a bank check which they received and apparently have cashed. Most of tbe damage was done by the previous tenant(s) but since I cannot prove this, I am stuck with the bill. If looking for a place for yourself or someone else, be aware of what you may face at any facility you chose for your older relative. The person who shows the apartments is a lovely individual and will try to treat you honestly. My experience indicates to me that this is not always true. This is just a word of caution based on my experience with them. How they treat or have treated others is not my story to tell.

Dear Colonial inn I want to write this letter to tell you how much we appreciate The Colonial Inn. I have become full time caregiver for my 98 year old mother and have been so impressed with the management and staff. They have been so accommodating and easy to communicate with. It has been much easier to care for mom when everyone is so nice to deal with. The other residents are very nice as well.,and it's like one big family. The other residents are always reminding us that they are here to help us with mom if we need them. They offer many activities for residents. Their is exercise classes, crafts, bingo,numerous card games going on all the time and much more. There is also a very nice church here in the activities room. Pastor Dan and wife Cheri are awesome and I go with mom to the Saturday morning service. Mom has been here for six years . The service people in the dining room are so good to all the residents. It's a great feeling to see them talk and interact with the residents in a very compassionate way. Mom only takes advantage of the lunch and she always has good things to say about the food. She looks forward to eating in the dining room every day with her friends. Thank you Les

My mom, Sylvia Halldorson has lived at Colonial Inn for the past 16 years. She is 100 and the oldest resident. She was independent until about 4 months ago when she had a stroke. Now she has caregivers but still lives there. I can’t say enough great things about her living at the Colonial Inn. She was always active and did practically everything on the monthly calendar including bingo, bridge, going on all the site seeing outings, black jack, driving and then taking their driver to appointments, entertainment, art activities and many more. I would and my 3 sisters would highly recommend Colonial Inn. Their manager Larissa, the front desk people, the housekeepers, the cooks, the hairdresser and the homey and friendly atmosphere and coziness is outstanding.

My mother and her sister each had an apartment at Colonial Inn and they loved it! The staff and the residents are friendly, helpful and kind. They have passed on now but I have fond memories of spending time with them there. I highly recommend this as a wonderful place for seniors who need a little help with meals and cleaning, as well as an active social envionment.

My uncle loves it there! Food is great, the staff is caring and you can tell they really do care about the residents. The building is under new management and the manager Debra has been great to work with. The building is clean and maintained very well. It’s nice to have piece of mind knowing my Uncle is safe and checked on three times a day. Bummer about their recent fire in the main kitchen but they have continued forward with serving meals from a mobile kitchen unit while kitchen renovations take place, the trailers are an eye sore but I know it’s only temporary. I’m glad they could continue with normal meal schedules due to my Uncles tough time with any changes in his daily routine, we thought he would need to move away but not at all, things are very normal and regular. Thank you for getting the food back to normal so quickly after the fire! Looking forward to a visit soon! Thanks! Update- 5/29/19 My Uncle is still doing great, he is enjoying the social life. He told me the kitchen was open again which he was very happy to say he got a tour through the new kitchen. I stopped by there and sure enough those ugly trailers are gone. Debra the manger quit so her assistant Laryssa took the manager spot and she is so nice and easy going. I’m happy to see her there because I mostly worked with her before so it’s nice to see a familiar face. I hadn’t been by the Colonial Inn in a while so it was nice to catch up with my uncle and meet his new girlfriend.
