My grandma has been living here since 2017 in a cute little house with polite neighbors who are always willing to help with things like taking the trash bins to the curb or giving a friendly wave or walking to the mailbox with you.<br>I've been going over to my grandma's house frequently since 2017 to weed her yard. I do not mind weeding her yard but I am nothing but forced to, if you don't keep your yard weeded perfectly colonial estates will just send someone to do it for you then mail you the charge. My grandma cannot afford this so I have to keep up my weeding even after graduating high-school and having a job and husband.<br><br>Other then my simple gripe this place is a perfect community to live in for seniors ✨️

Super cute elder friendly neighborhood. Always people walking that offer a wave as I'm driving. Our mom and Grandparents live here in two different houses

Nine years ago, I gave this a 5 star review. Now in 2025, the friendliness and activities have so far not returned since COVID. Plus the clubhouse was shut down for many months for remodeling which added to the lack of cohesiveness amongst neighbors. The social club has pretty much dissolved and since it was called the Colonial Estates Home Owners Association (but it is not an HOA), some of the old timer residents have begun acting like it is an HOA and trying to enforce made-up rules on their neighbors. I am hopeful that it gets better. It's still a safe and pretty neighborhood.
