This is no place for anyone to live whatso ever, or seek any kind of treatment. The staff are disrespectful, rude, ghetto, and lazy. They steal and do nothing to help you try and remove a family member or yourself from this establishment for their own benefit. The place reeks, and is not well kept at all (has rats). I do not recommend this place to anyone no matter the circumstances. It is a complete hell hole.

My brother is a five year resident of Denver North. I've gotten to know and care a great deal about many of the residents and staff, including the administrator, Shayla, who has been responsive to our needs. Everyone, from Tammy at the reception desk to the cleaning, laundry, and kitchen crews, are friendly and doing their best. Hugs from staff are abundant here, a joy to see. Residents are friendly and care about one another. The facility is kept clean and in good working order considering it is an old building, and improvements are notably ongoing. The area is safe and in close proximity to a number of downtown hospitals. Upstairs is a large, usually quiet and sunny library where people can attend Mass if they so choose, Catholic or not. There's also plenty of activities and excursions for residents, as well as a pleasant back patio area to enjoy some fresh air. The one and only drawback I'd say would be the loud and continual door and call button alarms heard on the ground floor which might contribute to anxiety. I hope a resolution of this noise can be attained in the future... the residents and staff would love that, too!

What Shayla has done for us residents is absolutely amazing. I love her open door policy and always make sure that we understand what she is saying! She makes room for us no matter how busy she is and talks to us with grace! This is definitely a family atmosphere.

I am a 6’2” 225lb man. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease with no cure. After half a year as in-patient in the hospital, after a couple years of intense decline & hospital visits, there seemed to be no more options and Denver North is where I had chosen for me to likely live out my time. My infusions and specialists were maintained by the facility and a routine kept to stabilize my meds and the PTs who work for the facility helped me regain strength and I gradually started walking again on my own which I had arrived in a wheelchair. After about a year & a half, I was assisted by the administrative team to get qualified to live independently, and gain assistance from department of housing to be able to get into my fantastic new home in DTC. As if that weren’t enough, they then helped me with multiple employees moving my things and moving me into my new home. I have regained a fully functional life and I couldn’t be more thankful to Shayla who runs the whole operation with the help of a fully capable and gracious team of angels that I’d never be able to start to name as it took an army of Nurses, PTs, administrators, Office staff, and a job well done by the social services coordination from beginning to end by Kori Gardner & Leigh Gazaway. These people really took good care of me and I wouldn’t be living like a grown man again without each of them and their entire staff. On behalf of all my family & friends, most importantly, my 5 kids…. Thank you💕 ~Tom Miles
