Excellent all-around experience. Staff friendly and responsive to questions, whether the pleasant woman at the front desk, the aide who helped me with the elevator code, the aide who happily took my father in law upstairs for lunch when we were leaving, or Jeffrey (social worker), who took several minutes talking with my wife and I.

Lost some of my father’s belongings, horrible parking , horrible communications with staff, impossible to get to talk to my dad on the phone , no room phones must provide your own but hope it doesn’t get stolen , an hope that staff will help him answer an never did , place smelled so badly of pee an poop , no staff around to talk to while unsupervised patients everywhere , elevator sounded so old and scary an smelled horrible of pee too , my dad also told me many night they would take his call button away an he would scream for help an no one would come

This facility is better known as "The Grand" located on Delaware Avenue in Buffalo. There is nothing grand about it and Wow I can't believe some people gave this a good review. There isn't enough room for my review. It is disgusting. It smells, it's filthy, paint is peeling. A "cleaning person" came in the room, emptied the trash in the bathroom and left. I went in, there was feces on the toilet, filthy sink, filthy floor. On and on. I asked my friend if she had gone to PT yet. No one came for her and she has been there for 3 week days already. I took videos. They are going to the proper authorities at the Board of Health. I'm going back today with gloves on. I'm taking more videos. People can't be treated like this. Patients had no water pitchers. No chair for visitors. Unbelievable. This is BS. I'm hopping mad. The irony is they make you put a mask on not to spread germs. lmao.

I hate this place, they are horrible every time I went in to go see my dad he was soiled in shit. They did not take care of him at all I called the Ombudsman multiple times and still nothing done mind you the ombudsman most likely sets up appointments so of course they won’t see anything unless they plan on popping up . This place is horrible only one nurse when I go by and mind you I went by multiple times of the day on different days still barely any stuff. Residents are on the floors in basically every room? It’s sad and it’s crazy I worked with nurse who told me this place used to be called something else and they changed their name because it was so bad . Just please do your research and also keep a good eye on your loved ones in this facility especially.

Like a number of facilities, Needs updates. Not The CNA's and nurses have provided quality care to my brother since he's been there. The front desk staff are very friendly and polite. Had an issue with the social worker not filing paperwork properly and causing delay with a surgery though. Overall, his experience at Delaware is satisfactory. Compared to other rehabilitation centers...Delaware Oaks is stars above!! I've requested my brother return after his next surgery.
