Can't believe they let my family member throw up all night, and not do anything. Don't go there please.

I've been through alot in my lifetime, fighting cancer for eight years, etc. But spending a few weeks in this place was a living nightmare. If you love your family, don't put them in here. The majority of staff are bullies. The worst place I've ever been. They are beyond mean and hateful. I've never seen any business like this before. Especially one that is supposed to care for you. It's awful.

Awful facility. Poor care and communication . Currently scared for a friend of mine that is a resident there. Do not recommend. I’m a nurse myself and have worked in many of these types of facilities . What goes on there is not at all good.

My father-in-law had the unfortunate position of being a hospice candidate after being transferred to the ED from this facility. On a phone call with JDFS, Care Management at the hospital, the insurances case worker and admissions (Heidi) at Country Meadows, the insurance case worker showed the Admissions staff at this facility how to find the form and how to request prior authorization for his hospice care and it was made clear this was needed for him to return back to Country Meadows from his hospital stay. Heidi deferred the insurances request for the form and authorization to be done by the Hospital even though, Insurance and JDFS stated this should be done by the facility receiving him. Philip (from Country Meadows sister facility) called and stated that they (admissions) do not do any prior authorizations, they just don’t do them. So my father-in-law has been given no option but to go to another facility because of a form needing filled out, the insurance already said that payment wouldn’t be an issue, but a form that could make the transfer back to the facility apparently wasn’t an option. It’s really disheartening that a form prevented him from getting care at a facility that he was already familiar with. My suggestion is that admissions be more empathetic, learn how to fill out paper forms if needed(not like they don’t do paperwork) and try to be more understanding/helpful. Had to get the runaround until it was finally figured out the facility would prevent this man from care based on a authorization form needing filled out. It’s disheartening and so disappointing, please do better for the next person, we don’t know how many days we have left with our loved ones and a authorization form is the last thing that the family should worry about.
