During my visit to Country Drive Post Acute this morning, the facility today and was warmly received by the staff. Staff were engaged in their work and residents appeared happy and well taken care of. The facility was free of clutter and smelled clean. I met Dorothy, the administrator. She was responsive and helpful.

Windsor country drive care center delivers! Our patient got a flawless care during her recovery. The care at Windsor country is memorable because of Vicky Bessabe. Our client came back to Windsor country right after her second surgery. AAAAA++++

I am disabled and found minimal parking available in general, and handicapped parking even less available. The sidewalk is wheelchair accessible, but there is not an automatic opener on the door. Rooms are severely overcrowded. I visited a friend there and they had 3 beds in her room with no room for a visitor to sit/stand except along the foot of the beds, which was narrow and served as the walking path from one bed to another. A large lounge with lots of seating is available, but if someone is watching the TV then it is too noisy to visit. The staff seemed friendly and available from my perspective, but my friend reported having some staff members failing to show up at all. I'm told the food there is very bland, with limited choices, and may even start out as a dehydrated product (i.e., scrambled eggs made from powder).

If I could give negative stars I would. My dad was sent there from Kaiser. He was in really bad shape, damn near on his death bed, but fought hard to get out of kaiser to go home. His Dr said he needed to go to rehab no later than 2 weeks. He arrived on a Tuesday. Was supposed to be at 11am. They came to get him and take him to Windsor he got there around 4:30pm. They didn't know who he was, no bed was ready for him. They put him in a dirty, smelly, dusty room with 2 other men. Day after day, my dad would call my mom to tell him what happened the night before. Then my mom would call me all panicked. Things like my dad pushed the button, no one came in and he sat in soiled gowns and sheets for hours, they didn't check on him, didn't give him his meds, he can't hear very well so they screamed in his ear when my mom told them to talk loud and slow. My dad just hears mumbling. He can read lips and if you talk slower he understands. He went days without eeping or eating and he can't afford to with his health. My mom has gone down there almost everyday to are sure he eats, sleeps, gets his meds and gets changed. On days she can't go it all goes to hell! So instead of a few steps forward, he goes a few backward. My mom calls and they say he's sleeping. He asked for help to call my mom His phone cord didn't work and she was told she could talk to him on Monday morning so from Friday afternoon to Monday morning she had to stress and worry at home not knowing what was going on because maintenance wasn't available to change a cord. It's crazy to me that they treat elders the way they do. Its disgusting. If they don't have the patience and understanding that it takes for this job, then it's the wrong job for them. There was one kind nurse that helped as much as she couldn't but she wasn't the one working everyday. My mom had called the social worker and she said she would take care of it. It was taken care of for a day or 2 max! My dad had started PT and was moving good from the last time we had saw him. So she was taking a video so she could send it to my siblings my kids and I since we all live out of state. She was told oh no videos allowed. What the hell, why not? A family friend had his aunt there for about 10 years and when he came to pick up my mom he told her it has went way down hill since he was there. I have been trying to write this review weeks ago, but everyday it was something new and worse then the last! So my dad was moved to another room a day or 2 ago. He was finally able to sleep good. He said they were nicer on that side. He even ate the food. Which means he'll be healthier. Sleep and food when youre ill promote good health! There's alot more to this story but I'm not allowed to spill that much..do to privacy laws. All I know is if you love someone, someone like a parent, a spouse or grandparents then do NOT send them here! Rehab is for helping you get back to a better you, learn to walk again and use your upper body.

Not thrilled with the care my aunt had here. Even though she is ambulatory they put her in diapers and told her not to walk to the bathroom. She would have to wait forever to use the restroom. Food was cold and unappealing. She lost weight. We got her out as soon as we could. Feel bad for the ladies that have lived there for so long.
