I had hip surgery and was sent to this facility. First off when I was discharged from the hospital Drs orders were pain meds every 4 hrs. When I arrived at this facility I had questioned the nurse that was on why wasn't I getting my pain meds every 4 hrs.Her response was that they were only going to give me my pain meds every 6 hrs as she didn't want me to get addicted to them,even though it was ordered by the surgeon that I receive the meds every 4 hrs.hmmm ?? Occupational and physical therapy took me on a walk,one standing beside me as I walked with a walker and the other behind me with a wheelchair. After I completed my walk I was asked to take a seat in the wheelchair,as I did both occupational therapist and physical therapist jumped on the elevator and never came back to take me to my room.Mr.Jamie a male nurse was yelling at the top of his lungs at a resident.smh I questioned Mr. Jamie if he had my nicotine gum on the med cart,he then screamed at me at the top of his lungs,we don't have that here. Most of the staff treat the residents unkindly. I was a 2 assist patient. I'd ring my buzzer for assistance walking to the bathroom, sometimes they would show up a half hr later or not at all. An aide brought me in a snack which was a plastic carton of single serve cereal and a small milk.on both the cereal and milk carton was the previous patients name. Isn't this a hipa violation?? I took pictures to prove it. Do not send your loved one to this facility.

I currently have a relative at this facility, and I have a question for the Director of Nursing or administration: Is it considered acceptable practice for staff members to raise their voices at residents to the point that patients become visibly upset or cry? This is deeply concerning and does not reflect the level of compassion, dignity, and respect that vulnerable patients deserve. I hope administration will investigate these incidents and take appropriate action to ensure residents are treated with kindness and professionalism. I would appreciate a response that addresses the concern rather than a generic statement about providing quality care like the one below. UPDATE: Watch the scheduled dosage time for pain medications! For example: Doctor definitely prescribed every 4 hours, but the staff says every 6.

Severly understaffed and apparently not very knowledgeable. My mother was here. When she first arrived they were only checking her sugar once week. I don't know a diabetic, including myself, that only checks sugar once a week. My last visit there they had 3 aids for the whole floor of 60 residents. Not ny state compliant at all. They were using a hover to transfer her when a week prior she was a 1 assist. Now more recently she had come to sayre for a appointment and ended up in the er on antibiotics. She had an abscess on her hip and they packed it with glaze causing a severe infection which led to having to have yet another surgery on her hip to replace the components that were affected by the infection. Please reconsider if you plan on taking a loved one here.

i went to visit my great grandmother, my initial thoughts were okay this place isn’t too bad for seeing the 2.8 star review. no, i actually understand why it’s that low. as i went up in the elevator it was dirty, smelly, and run down looking. i get upstairs to where i need to go and the smell of urine was overpowering. i went in, her room was very clean didn’t smell at all. she said her nurses treat her well, i did see two of them who were bringing her dinner and they were wonderful! with all that said, she has no phone in there, she has an ankle monitor on, can’t go outside, ( she’s been there for almost 8 months with no fresh air) and has a pb&j with every meal, including breakfast. WHAT? all she has is a bed a bathroom and a meal. prisoners get better treatment than that. personally any nursing home with anything under 4 stars should be shut down.

It is open. That's why they receive 1 star. My father was discharged from Guthrie Corning to this Rehab. I transported him. We needed a wheelchair to enter- the one available was missing foot rests. He is currently unable to lift and hold his feet due to severe pain. The receptionist called the Rehab unit and was told she "was on her own." She did find foot rests, but between her, myself, and the janitor, we couldn't get them attached. After about 30 minutes, I just realized I couldn't leave my father there and we left. It may have been a bad day, or a pattern. I don't know.
