As a delivery driver, I found this location very difficult to navigate. The community is very large with multiple buildings, and the directions provided at the entrance were not detailed enough to help locate the correct building. Clearer building identification and better wayfinding signs would make deliveries much more efficient.

It was also challenging to locate the apartment number and to ring the doorbell because the unit number was difficult to see due to decorative items around the door. While I understand residents like to personalize their homes, keeping apartment numbers clearly visible would greatly help delivery drivers, emergency responders, and visitors.

This review is intended as constructive feedback to help improve future deliveries and make the property easier to navigate.

Visited Eagles Trace recently. The community has a beautiful 70 acre campus, great food in several dining rooms. The folks in sales (Marianna and Carlens) have been so kind and helpful to me.

Although not a resident at Eagle's Trace, I have had four family members and long-time friends of the family live in the facilities here in Houston. The long-term care area, Bayou Vista, is one of the better appointed care facilities here in Houston, and that's saying a lot since we do have the Texas Medical Center here in town. And the living areas, which comprise the rest of the ET campus, are top-notch. Residents can choose from basic one-bedroom apartments or opt for something a bit larger in case family members need to stay over for a bit. There are real activities for residents as well as clubs and other groups folks can belong to and volunteer with. Staff are friendly and accomodating, and the on-site healthcare professionals are really good as well. It'd be great if the on-site pharmacy stayed open a bit more (they're closed in the evenings and on weekends) so that family could join residents in making purchases there, but that's about my only gripe. Cafeterias and restaurants are good and staffed with restauranteurs-in-training from local high school and college culinary programs. They do an excellent job with the residents and serve restaurant-quality meals with menus that change daily. Attached photos by a resident who's name escapes me, but they capture the fireworks show at ET celebrating their 20th year in Houston back in 2025.

When I visited my friend in Bayou Vista, Debra attended to me. She had a terrible attitude when I politely requested her to check on phone with Eagles Trace Main Building if a student harpist holiday recital was on or had been canceled. My plan was to wheel my friend through the cold weather for a change of scene. She defensively stated that Bayou Vista was a separate entity. Her body language said it all. She further commented that she disliked not having her ducks in a row. Her behavior was appalling. In the three years that I have visited Eagles Trace every Monday to visit my friend, help with her mail and walk her dog, the staff have always been kind and courteous. Unless her attitude changes, Debra should be in a back office.

Eagle's Trace is the best retirement community in Houston. With 72 acres of beautiful surroundings, lovely wildlife, lakes, walking paths, 150 organizations/social clubs, seven restaurants with great options/delicious food, beautiful apartments, numerous exercise programs, a bank and pharmacy, and transportation, I could not ask for a more perfect place to live! Plus I now have 1,300 new friends. Barb Sheffield - 7 year resident
