My visit today was with Miss Jackson in the business office. She is so great, patient and full and knowledge. I also spoke with Miss Linda Nurse manager and Miss Josie nurse practitioner, and both of them was very helpful with guide me in the direction of care that my husband need. Natalie Richardson

Nice and friendly staff. Professional 10/10. Everyone single one makes you feel special. It only took me once to ask for something and before I know it everything was taken care of. My dad is been treated with care and respect from the nurses, management staff, as well as room service personnel. Thank you and God bless.

My brother, Charles Henderson, was admitted on the evening of Friday, April 17, 2026 to Complete Care at Wheaton. He was placed in the memory care unit which is a secured/locked wing. He was in a wheelchair and he had a monitor bracelet on his ankle. Our family was not provided with a clear explanation as to why this level of care was deemed necessary and no staff members were readily available at the time of admission to address questions or provide guidance regarding his placement, condition or care plan. My sister, Kimberly called Miss Dobbins, Admissions Director, to voice our concerns. Miss Dobbins stated that his move to the memory unit was based on his diagnosis from VA hospital and that he had to be assessed and be seen by the staff members. She also stated that his move to the memory unit was temporary. I was still concerned because my brother was placed in a room with an individual who was screaming about wanting to go home and threatening to call the police. Also there was not a phone in the room, the call button did not work and the smell of urine was very strong. I took that smell home, in my clothes. My brother was very nervous and I was very nervous as well. I came everyday and stayed long hours. My brother did not sleep well nor did I that weekend. On Monday morning, department staff came by to introduce themselves. I met my Angels, my Movers and Shakers. About a week later, Charles was moved from his room because he had a roommate that was loud and rowdy. He was placed with another roommate who was very helpful, patient and kind.Two days later, Charles was moved out of the memory care wing to another wing with a different roommate. This was a great move because our brother’s health improved. His monitor bracelet was removed, and he is no longer in a wheelchair. He now uses a walker. Charles and his roommate share their love of music, they both are Dallas Cowboy fans and they share their 1st name. Isabelle, Unit Manager. I told her my concerns about my brother being in the locked unit, phone, the call button, the smell. Within 15 minutes, maintenance was there to fix the call button, a phone was placed in the room and the smell of urine was fading and gone. She apologize for us not having immediate answers to our concerns but stated that our brother had to go through their assessment, procedures. She listen to what our goals were for our brother and she explained that different staff members would come by and explained what they would be doing to assist in his care. Jessica, Social Worker. We talked about goals we wanted to address—his diet, getting him walking, addressing his vision, podiatry, dentist, neurology. Set up meetings with the dietitian, rehab, making appts for optical, neurology with assistance from Nikki. Sandra the dietitian suggested that I speak to Miguel, the chef regarding my brother’s diet. He is diabetic. Josey, Nurse Practitioner. What do you need. What can I do for your brother or for your family. Always asking how we are doing. Charles states she comes in the room and talks to him. Continue to check that Charles is eating, staying hydrated, and incontinence issues addressed. Housekeeping making sure that the shared bathroom is cleaned for use. Rhonda, the Activity Director gave us a tour of the facility. But she and her assistants, especially Alexis, do a great job with entertaining and encouraging the residents to participate and socialize. I think it is great that they have meetings where the residents can address any problems and concerns. The front desk—manned by Dawit and Rochelle. Great energy, polite, helpful. Gave helpful suggestions on attending care plan meetings. If they don’t have the answer they know who to ask. Everyone is so helpful. My family is very happy with the care my brother is receiving. He is a resident at this facility and we want our brother to become a participant in his care and hopefully to be at peace in being there.

Complete Care of Wheaton is a nice, clean facility with some of the most amazing front desk employees. They are always welcoming and helpful, which makes a big difference for families visiting their loved ones. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the nursing care. The nursing department could truly use an overhaul. It is very concerning when the nurses responsible for treating and caring for your loved one have difficulty understanding you or your loved one, and the care provided suffers because of it. Even with consistent communication from family members, the concerns often seem to go unheard. The nursing culture at this facility is alarming and disheartening. Too often we have been given excuses for unacceptable nursing practices rather than seeing real accountability or improvement. As someone who also works in healthcare, I understand the challenges of the field. However, good nursing care should not only be provided when someone is watching or when staff feel pressured to perform. Quality care should be the standard at all times, especially for patients who depend on others for their dignity, comfort, and well-being.
