We have been very pleased with Collinwood for our family member. The staff is caring and Randy, the administrator, is hands on, very responsive and committed. This isn't a new facility, but is clean and seems to be well maintained.

Collinwood is in my view, the most outstanding nursing home in Dallas the care takers are efficient, kind, helpful, and medically outstanding my wife has been here for almost a year and we could not be happier I heartedly recommend Collinwood Nursing Home

My sons’ father was cared for at Collinwood. He received attentive care with kindness. They saw him through the end of life with compassion. We appreciate the staff very much. Thank you

My mother was a patient here for 11 days. The care that she recieved was excellent. The staff made sure that all of her needs were met and she had everything that she needed. The Physical therapist also did an amazing job getting her back on her feet and moving around.

Medicaid doesn't give a lot of options, but The Collinwood was one of the few. My family member's health declined considerably after their move to The Collinwood. The staff continually ignored our basic requests and it was clear from visitation that my family member's healthcare needs were being ignored and they were not even having basic hygiene taken care of. But hey, if an emergency happens, don't worry! Their staff will be sure to NOT let anyone know and you will only find out after the fact when you receive a confused call from a hospital in the area asking questions about their care and what happened. Their inability to caretake and manage the most basic (comparatively) of health issues like Diabetes and high blood pressure is almost impressive to an extent. SO many hospital stays that were wholly unnecessary and could've been avoided with even just a fraction of tact or care from the facility. (Yes, even the administrative staff) My family opted for The Collinwood as opposed to hospice because we felt so much progress had been made at the prior facility. Unfortunately, we can all agree that choosing The Collinwood was the WORST decision we could've made. Maybe your family member will have a different experience, but I would look elsewhere if their stay here isn't fully self-funded. Level of care isn't supposed to differ based on your financial situation, but boy was it obvious that low-income patients are shoved to the side and ignored for "big-ticket" patients.
