I have had shoulder & knee surgery at CVMC in the last few months. I am very happy with the care I received on both occasions.

Very slow and active like they don't care. Sat in ER after getting called back and never even saw a nurse in ove1 and half hours. Left went to Ballad In lebanon va and had blood work going and IV with the fist 10 minutes. Everyone in the ICU and the ER were and are wonderful .

If I could give zero stars, I would.

My family’s experience with Clinch Valley Health during my mother’s illness was deeply disappointing and, at times, traumatic. We encountered what we perceived as poor communication, difficulty obtaining complete medical records, unanswered questions throughout the grievance process, and responses that felt dismissive of our concerns. Despite requesting clarification about specific events in my mother’s care, many questions remain unanswered.

Losing a loved one is devastating enough without feeling unheard and unsupported afterward. Families deserve transparency, compassion, timely follow-up, and meaningful engagement when concerns are raised about a loved one’s care. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

I recognize that healthcare professionals work under tremendous pressure, and I appreciate those individual staff members who treated my mother with kindness. However, our overall experience with the hospital’s communication, discharge planning, and complaint resolution process has left me with very little confidence in the organization.

I sincerely hope Clinch Valley Health uses feedback from grieving families as an opportunity to improve communication, accountability, and patient-centered care so that others do not leave with the same sense of frustration and unresolved questions.
