We are very pleased with the care our mother received at Civita Care Center at Long Ridge. From the very beginning, the entire team went above and beyond to ensure she was comfortable, safe, and well cared for. The nurses and aides were not only professional but also kind, attentive, and compassionate in every interaction. The social workers provided valuable support and guidance during the process, always taking the time to listen and help us navigate everything with ease. The physical therapists were equally impressive, showing dedication and encouragement that truly made a difference in her progress. Every staff member we encountered treated our mother with dignity and respect, and it gave our family great peace of mind knowing she was in such capable hands. It’s clear that this facility is filled with people who genuinely care about their patients. We are incredibly grateful for the amazing care and would highly recommend Civita Care Center at Long Ridge to anyone in need of quality, compassionate care.

My father spent 30 years working as a CNA in a facility similar to this one, so he knows the system in and out. Sadly, after his second stroke, he had to be placed in full time skilled facility. I am very happy with the care he receives. Very patient, knowledgeable workers. They don't get paid enough for the kind of work they do! If you are concerned about your loved one receiving care, my advice is to get to know his caregivers, show them appreciation and respect. These people are doing hard work!

I would not recommend this nursing facility based on experience with the care and communication provided. My mother was admitted here with the hope of receiving compassionate and professional support. Unfortunately, what we encountered was far from acceptable. The staff appeared understaffed leading to long delays in attending to basic needs. There were multiple instances of poor hygiene, unreturned calls, and a lack of updates about medical conditions or changes in treatment. The environment did not feel safe or supportive, and it became clear proper protocols were not consistently followed. When concerns were raised, we were often dismissed or met with excuses. It’s heartbreaking to entrust your loved one to a facility and feel like they are being neglected rather than cared for. I urge management to take these issues seriously and improve the quality of care and communication. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to anyone seeking responsible, compassionate elder care.

Horrible Experience – Do Not Recommend We had a terrible experience at Civita Senior Care Center. My mother was admitted for rehabilitation after a fall and was considered a high fall risk. Despite this, she fell over six times while under their care, eventually suffering a fractured nose and needing stitches in her head. Shockingly, no walker or wheelchair was ever provided to help her move safely. Her condition rapidly declined while at this facility. During several visits, I found her sitting in urine and feces. When I raised concerns, I was told that the nurses were changing shifts and she had to wait. This kind of neglect is unacceptable. We ultimately had to pull her out for her own safety. The CNAs were rude and dismissive, often giving me attitude. Communication was also a serious issue—many of the nurses struggled with English and could barely communicate with me or my mother. Even the hospital ER raised concerns about the care she received at Civita. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.
