I have a loved one (LO) who moved into the memory care unit in Chestnut Grove (CG) in February, 2026. I visit CG several times per week and I have a good feel. I 100% recommend the memory care unit at CG, I don't have experience in the other areas of CG. My LO mentally and physically has improved greatly during her stay here. I attribute the improvements to the quality of care, medications on time, good nutrition, activities and socialization. Medicine: CG does an excellent job of managing medications. New medicines are in place for my LO very quickly and administered correctly. Staff: I am very impressed by the people who work in memory care. They are caring, professional and there to help. Food: I would say very, very good based on my LO's feedback and what I have seen. I am impressed and very happy about this. Activities: What I understand is the activities are geared towards individuals with memory issues. My LO has often commented on favorite activities (interactive questions, videos with positive messages, arts and crafts). The activities coordinator does an excellent job of engaging the residents plus planning themed parties (sock hop for Valentine's, St. Patrick's day, Mardi Gras). Great photos too! She also takes the residents on a van outing each week which is a favorite of my LO's. Therapy: There is a PT and OT therapists onsite. My LO has benefited from both and likes each therapist very much. Management / Administration: The Director of CG has been there for 11 years and I can tell is well respected by the staff. I do not hesitate to discuss anything related to my LO's care. In addition, he is very experienced and a very good resource for how to navigate things with my LO. In addition, the admission person was amazing during a time when my family was faced with having to find a place for my LO suddenly. She went above and beyond with being available for questions, coordinating with the Director for a screening and moving things along during a time crunch. I am very grateful! In summary, nothing is ever perfect (maybe if your LO could remain independent) but with everything that CG offers plus my family's involvement, my LO is in an excellent situation. Thank you Chestnut Grove!

My mom has been at Chestnut Grove for almost 6 months. She has a lovely 1 bedroom apartment that she really likes and tells everyone it is very cozy. She controls her room thermostat and has a doorbell which makes it feel much more like an apartment. They assisted with hanging TVs, pictures and curtains when she moved in. She has made a number of new friends and enjoys the social aspect very much and is actually thriving there I believe due to the socialization. It is a smaller facility so may not have the expansive activities list of some of the big places but smaller works well for her as everything she wants to do is close and easy for her to ambulate to. They offer a number of medical related services right on site like PT/OT/ST and podiatry and dental services so she does not have to travel to receive them. The base price is inclusive of a things like med management, personal laundry, and weekly activity outings so she is not nickel and dimed for these services. Lastly, her care team experience has been really good. The techs on her hall are kind, visible and responsive and the dining staff are sweet and accommodating all things that make my mom feel cared for.

My Mom moved in about 9 months ago, and Chestnut Grove has been as good of a solution for her as we could've hoped. Lenny, Kathy, and Monica were all very helpful during what could have been a much more difficult transition for my Mom. The facility has a cozy, welcoming feel to it, and my Mom quickly acclimated to life there and feels at home. Many members of the staff have worked at C.G. for a long time, and the place seems to be very well run. It was recommended highly by a senior living consultant we spoke with. We toured half a dozen facilities before choosing C.G., and my mom felt some of the other place's amenities (golf simulators, movie theaters, etc.) were over the top and added unnecessary cost for where she wanted to live.

Placing mom in assisted living wasn’t easy; however, choosing Chestnut Grove has given our family peace of mind. From the moment you walk in, it is warm, welcoming and nicely decorated.
The staff is attentive, friendly, and kind. They make sure mom has what she needs, and keeps us informed, which we greatly appreciate. All meals are provided, along with weekly housekeeping, laundry, activities (especially bingo she has learned to love to play,) and outings that all make a big difference in her daily life.
Our family is grateful for the care and support Chestnut Grove provides and offers.

We moved our mother in after a difficult experience at another facility. We have found the smaller, more intimate setting to be more comfortable for our mom. If you’ve been through this experience with a loved one, you know that perfection is difficult to find. Lennie and the staff at Chestnut, do a great job at creating a warm and compassionate environment. Our mom is doing well at Chestnut Grove.
