I waited to post this review until after my parent had moved out of the facility. The photos included with this review were taken on the day my parent moved into the apartment, which was supposed to be empty and clean.<br><br>During their time there, one of the three dryers in the laundry room was never operational, and the laundry room sink was also never functional. Having a working sink in a senior living facility is particularly important for rinsing soiled linens before placing them in a washing machine, yet it was never available in the limited hours that residents were allowed to even use the laundry rooms.<br><br>There were also significant maintenance and safety concerns. My parent had a large feature window that cracked all the way through and across the entire pane and remained that way for more than a month before maintenance patched it with duct tape for another month before resolving.<br><br>The photos included with this review show some of the conditions of the apartment on the day my parent moved in, not out. While my parent was generally happy living here, my experience as a family member was very different. However my parent did break their lease after the first year for a larger, newer apartment at a significant cost savings.<br><br>But this still might be the right place for your parent. If so I would encourage families to look closely at the condition of the apartments before move in and continually follow-up on maintenance requests.

The positive reviews seem to be done by management or staff. Just read for yourself and you will see. I’ve had the pleasure of touring several facilities while searching for a place for my mother and this was one of the worst ones.

I have had the great pleasure of visiting Chesterfield several times over the last few years. Always found the mgrs, staff, and residents welcoming. The meals were nicely plated and were very tasty!<br>Smiling Residents are "hands on". They are proud of their community and want to show it off...Meeting new residents at their apt. door for meals in the dining room, so they are not feeling like they are the new kid in school. I would recommend this community to everyone! Like Bingo, music, and dancing, we got you covered.

The staff is warm and caring. Management cares about their residents and their well-being. It is lovely inside and the food is delicious.
