My husband has been a patient at Chatham for six weeks. Every week it gets better. He is getting good attentive care, the meals are appropriate and acceptable and Therapy gets better every day as he gets better. We’ve been to three other facilities and this one is by far the best.

I’m a nurse. My husband was in ICU for 13 days and in another rehab for 10 before he came to Chatham Glenn I have never in all my years seen people that are as caring, considerate and loving as the people I have come to know in the past three days. From the nurses the CNA‘s the front desk, social services dietary and surprisingly to me, two doctors that I’ve dealt with have been wonderful.

It was my first visit! The staff was exceptionally helpful and the entire place looked spotless! I was going to ask if I could take the aquarium but decided not to. The room my friend was in was perfectly designed for the patients. He speaks highly of the OT’s and PT’s. I’m very content knowing he is in a great place! Thanks

THE MOST WORST EVER EXPERIENCE My mother stayed at your facility for over 60 days (Room 147). Yesterday, at approximately 11:50 a.m., she was rushed to the ER (WITHOUT A COPY OF HER CHART, we need that immediately). My sister, Jo, who has been by my mother’s side throughout her stay, spoke directly with Nurse Jammie (the blonde nurse stationed at the end of the hall) and specifically asked her not to move my mother’s belongings. She clearly stated that as soon as we knew whether our mother would be admitted to the hospital, we would return to collect her items. At approximately 4:50 p.m., the doctors at Spanish Plaines Hospital informed us that our mother would be admitted. She is currently being treated for a UTI, C. diff infection, high blood pressure, and atrial fibrillation. Before 5:30 p.m., my sister and my wife arrived at your facility to retrieve my mother’s belongings and notify management of her hospitalization. At that time, we discovered that her room had already been emptied without our knowledge or consent. My sister immediately approached Nurse Jammie, who stated she knew nothing about the situation. She attempted to place blame on housekeeping and insurance. A male nurse (name unknown) from another station assisted by searching for the belongings and was eventually able to locate and return them approximately 30 minutes later. Unfortunately, Nurse Jammie remained disengaged, unhelpful, and dismissive during this situation. This was extremely disrespectful and unacceptable. There was no urgency that justified clearing out my mother’s room so quickly. This situation is unacceptable. We were not contacted, nor given the option to hold the room. After reviewing the returned belongings, we discovered that my mother’s phone and hearing aids are missing. The phone’s location can be tracked and currently shows it is still inside your facility (see attached). We called last night and left voicemails but have not received a response. For your reference, the phone and hearing aids were in the nightstand drawer, with the hearing aids inside a small white bag. If these items are not returned promptly, we will file a police report for theft. We will also submit a formal complaint to the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration. Please understand that my mother is a paying patient through her insurance and should not be treated in this manner. The unauthorized removal of her belongings and the handling of this situation are deeply concerning and, in our view, unacceptable.

We visited a dear friend at Chatham Glen Healthcare Rehab this morning. I was happy with the reception at the front desk coming and going. The facility was clean and fresh. Staff we encountered all had smiles and happy in their work. Nurse was in and out of our friend’s room a couple times. She used his name with a smile. Chatham Glen looked well staffed and well run.
