The staff actually cared about my grandmother and got to know her. They were kind. Not all places care, but the people at Chapmans do.

lady who answered the phone was very highly rude you all need better kind and not rude receptionist. Did not get her name because of how rude she was. When someone calls they are supposed to give out there name did not even do that just over all rude and seemed like she just did not want to work.

My brother was sent here after his stroke for REHAB. He called us after day 3 and said his sugar was not being controlled. I called the Admin and she connected me with THE DIRECTOR of NURSING, I went straight up there and met with her, Her name was RITA. The DON ( RITA) said "They are "NOT" a Diabetic Insulin Controlling facility! I told her my brother is in here from a stroke! She said "Well a high BLOOD SUGAR will not CAUSE a STROKE! Me being a Nurse said to her" Lady, WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR NURSING DEGREE? Thats the NUMBER 1 CAUSE IN A DIABETIC is a high BLOOD SUGAR!" She was like " Oh, I did not know that!" I'm like what the heck?!? Then I was trying to explain to her, you have his medical records, you knew he was Type 1 upon admission..she told me she had NOT read his medical records. Then asked me what was the Difference in Lantus and Novalog? I should have just taken him home RIGHT THEN! But, he loved his OVER WORKED NURSES AND HIS PHYSICAL THERAPIST and just wanted to get better. All seemed to be going okay. then the weekend came..Back to square one..I called to complain again, because this place is an hour away, and the Administrator APRIL connected me back to the DON! After talking to Insurance Company and just having common sense, I went and took him OUT!!NEVER EVER SEND YOUR FAMILY MEMBER HERE! All they want is a check! They are understaffed and like I said, the Nurses did all they could legally to help him and even expressed this to us. PT was awesome but, The Dr or Nurse Practitioner takes care of whole Facility and is NEVER AVAILABLE..Lord help if something happens on weekends! I'm so glad we got my brother out of there and I will be reporting them to the State for the sake of the others! His Blood sugars were running in the stroke levels and he has a Kidney Transplant! They almost caused another catastrophe! If you have a family member here..Please relocate them or send them somewhere else!

My grandmother was placed in this facility on hospice one week before she passed. I cannot thank them enough for the kindness, compassion, care and professionalism that was shown to my granny and our family. We could not have asked for a better place to say goodbye to her. Great Job Chapman Health, keep it up, you are making a difference!

Chapman's is a decent size Nursing home. It has a very living and caring staff with training opportunities. They offer rehab. Services. And activities to keep residents entertained. They have a decent pay grade and offer CNA classes
