My mom arrived at Sunset Point after being bedridden, unable to communicate, unable to eat on her own, to take a bath or shower, and being forced to go to the bathroom while lying in bed. Within the first week we began to see improvements. Her medications were adjusted and she bagan to speak again, she was able to take a shower with assistance of course, and to go to the bathroom. Now 3 weeks later she is speaks normally, she eats by herself she participates in games and activities and has quality of life at 91. My mom is back! The facility is beautiful and well cared for, but the staff and the care they provide are at top my list of why I wholeheartedly recommend Sunset Point. My family and are are so very grateful to Miriam Alonso, the administrator, for her assistance and guidance during the transfer process and her continued commitment to our mom’s care. Adrian, the activities director is amazing. He makes sure all of the residents are engaged in the activities. He is kind and cares for each of them and knows them by name. The entire staff, those that provide any type of service are wonderful and professional. Everyone goes out of their way to assist and to ensure the residents are well cared for. If you are looking for a place where your loved one will be treated with compassion, kindness and respect this is the place. I am forever grateful!
