I was having difficulty finding a place for my Dad. One place would tell me he was too sick for their facility, while another would say he wasn't sick enough for theirs! Then I contacted Celebration Villa of Shippensburg and Wow! What a difference! They bent over backwards in their efforts to help me and I was able to get Dad moved in within a couple of days of my initial contact! I was pleased with the room, food and availability of social interaction programs available to him. Unfortunately, Dad didn't get to stay there very long because God called him home soon after he moved in. This is not a negative on the facility. They immediately noticed his decline, got him to the hospital promptly and even assisted him in preparing an advanced directive before he left in the ambulance! After his passing, they were kind and compassionate and gave me sufficient time to grieve without rushing me to remove his belongings. If you need a place for your loved ones, you should definitely contact them. They will do whatever they can to help you!

We moved in my dad December 2023, sadly he passed a few days ago. I can say nothing bad about my family's experience here. The staff folks are wonderful, they know every resident by name and most family members' names as well. To me it was like having an extended family for my dad, both staff and other residents. The meals were excellent, Dad's room was very clean and if we felt it needed additional cleaning the staff responded immediately. After my dad's health had declined the staff took it upon themselves to recommend changes to improve his stay. I'm truly grateful to Celebration Villa for everything they did for my dad.

I am the social worker at a local skilled nursing facility and have made referrals over the years to Celebration Villas of Shippensburg. Nicole Smith and the care team at Celebration Villas have always been quick to respond to any referral I have sent. Nicole is a great advocate for both Celebration Villas and their residents. The community is beautiful and the staff is compassionate. I would recommend Celebration Villas to anyone looking for an Assisted Living Facility. Their care for their resident's and compassion for enhancing the well being of those being referred and currently living at their community is commendable. Keep up the good work!

UPDATE to original post: It is now almost 1.5 years later, and our Dad still thoroughly enjoys his care and staff at CV in Shpg. As his family, we too are still very pleased with the care he receives, plus knowing he's safe is our #1 priority. Dad took 2 falls lately & with the push of his button (lanyard), he had help there in no time, which we are SO grateful for !!!<br>We highly recommend CV of Shpg. The staff are great, the food is wonderful & Dad is happy ! Life is good .<br><br>(Original post)<br>Our father has been at Shpg Villa for about 6 months now. Myself & family couldn't be happier with the care & attention he receives. He loves all the meals they serve. His laundry is washed as needed & hung back up. His trash is removed daily & bed clothes changed on a regular schedule, plus his bed is made daily.<br><br>Dad hasn't warmed up to participating in any of the many activities/crafts/ events the Villa offers, but he definitely enjoys the monthly Men's Breakfast outing as well as the outing for ice cream. If food is involved, he's game !<br><br>"ALL" of the Villa staff are super nice, help you with any questions you have, fix any problem you may encounter and most importantly always greet you with a smile.<br><br>We are a very happy family & highly recommend Celebration Villa of Shippensburg !
