The lady at the front desk and the nurse tending my aunt was very nice and helpful. HOWEVER… the nurse giving medication was very rude, condescending, sarcastic and unprofessional! My ill aunt didn’t understand that she is considered diabetic now so my elderly mother was confused why she was getting insulin and simply asked the nurse administering it, what it’s for if she’s not diabetic? She very sarcastically and condescendingly replied to my confused mother: “if she wasn’t diabetic we wouldn’t be giving it to her.” I’ve been in the medical field for 20 years and speaking to a patient the way she did is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable! ALSO, the quality of food is the farthest from healthy I’ve ever seen in a health facility! They brought a burger bun with a small dry piece of fast food beef (no lettuce, tomato, mustard, etc.) potato chips and cake… for a diabetic… No vegetables, No fruit, No actual nutrients! It’s a good thing we can bring my aunt food because the goal is to improve her health and strength, but this place does NOT meet the criteria for healthy or nutritious food!

Definitely recommend for anyone needing a Skilled Nursing Facility. The staff was amazing from the receptionist, CNAs, RNs and non clinical staff. Everyone treated my mom with respect. Catered to her needs made sure the 21 days spent in there were smooth sailing. Helped her gain her mobility and most of all gave her INDEPENDENCE back!! Will forever be grateful for everyone here. If we ever need a SNF again will absolutely be choosing Casa Real. The facility was clean and we'll maintained. Definitely happy with the care!

"One of the worst places in New Mexico" this is what a resident told me as I discharged my dad today. The very few that do their best here thank you. All I have to say is do not take your loved ones here.

I would not recommend this facility. I toured the facility about a month ago. Arlene was a sweetheart — she was the uplifting part of the experience. Unfortunately, Admissions was cold. I got the distinct impression they weren’t interested in helping. It turns out we may have avoided a serious situation. In the weeks since, I’ve heard from multiple trusted professionals in the community that concerns about elder abuse and neglect persist at this facility. I’m very grateful we decided not to move forward.
