My parents moved in about a year ago and the Montecito has been a fabulous place for them so far. I visit often and the staff could not be better--courteous, warm, attentive and efficient. I've eaten in Garbo's many times while ther and the food is excellent, hats off to the chef and serving staff are great. The grounds are exceptionally well kept and all personnel seem to genuinely care about and enjoy the residents. And most of all, the people who live there seem to be lovely people, interested in one another, quick to look out for one another and very interesting and intelligent, with lots of interesting prior careers. I hope someday when I am ready to transition to a senior living environment, I can find one as delightful as the Montecito. I'm not sure but I don't think it is corporate-owned and whoever owns it seems invested in residents having a quality experience. Bravo!

Our family thinks very highly of The Montecito! Our father received the most wonderful loving care while residing in the assisted living floor. His Parkinson's was getting worse and worse and as it did, the staff stepped up the care. The manager, Edgar was always responsive and caring. Nancy at the front desk would do anything for the residents and family members. The Chef made special food for our father and family members who were visiting. It truly felt like "home" and staff felt like family. We cannot thank them enough and feel incredibly grateful that our father could stay there in his final days.

My boyfriend’s grandfather is there and they haven’t given him his medicine in a month and he is struggling to breathe. They don’t let you know when supplies are out and with how much his family is paying you could hire a live in nurse. I absolutely do not recommend this place. I feel like they are doing the bare minimum with him, o cannot say for anyone else.

I stayed 3 days visiting the facility. Excellent food catered the wedding I attended. The front desk staff really came through for me after I accidentally left my medication in the guest suite. The manager efficiently returned it by overnight delivery. Very grateful to Wendy Walters, Linda Krauss, Tammy, and Rachel. 4 stars only because Housekeeping had a hard time keeping enough light bulbs in the apartment.
