Shelby at Casa De La Paz is an absolute angel and a true healthcare hero. We were working with a family that needed some additional support and before the family was even a client, Shelby went far beyond typical professional expectations to ensure the family received critical care and support. Not only did Shelby take the time to thoroughly understand the medical situation, but she also proactively advocated to secure extended coverage for the family member that provided peace of mind for the family. Her persistence, compassion, and expertise were instrumental in navigating a challenging healthcare landscape. What truly sets Shelby apart is her genuine commitment to patient care. Casa was absolutely wonderful with caring for my grandmother. They came to the hospital and met with us, answering all of our questions. They even came back to answer more questions from family that came later. The admission process was quick and smooth and got her home with us. The nurses and aids that came were so sweet and she was always comfortable. After she passed, they checked in on the family and offered support for us. They are wonderful and I would recommend them to anyone! Thank you for being so kind during this hard time for our family.

I wanted to write about our experience after reading the negative reviews on here. While reviewing a hospice agency is never one I wanted to, I feel Casa De La Paz deserves one. From the first time we spoke to Shelby to discuss starting hospice for my sister she was honest and upfront about every step of the way. She ensured all questions were answered and that all of our options were discussed. When my sister was ready to start hospice Shelby sat down with my sister, myself, and my dad (we were both her healthcare POA's) and helped us understand the entire process and what it would all look like. My sister also wanted to stay at home with her cats and my dad which Shelby respected. We all thought it would be quick for my sister but it was a month that she was on their care. In that month Shelby, Kim, Joe, and the rest of the nurses were nothing but kind and gentle with my sister giving her the best care possible. They laid out the best plan to ensure my sister was comfortable and taken care of. The Chaplin, social worker, and aids were also nothing short of amazing to not only my sister but my dad as well. They were patient and understanding as we navigated this difficult journey. Even when we called in the middle of the night they were patient and talked us through all of our concerns. When my sister did pass away Kim was right there by our side and helped us get my sister ready for the funeral home and handled calling them. She was gentle and kind and while it was 400AM she ensured that everyone at my dads was taken care of and ok. She also ensured my dad knew that hospice would follow up in a week or so to check up on him and handed him paperwork on caregiving grief support classes.
