About Atria Covell Gardens

Atria Covell Gardens is a small assisted living community in Davis, California, with a capacity of 6 residents. The community offers assisted living care in a bright, welcoming setting.

Families consistently praise the staff's warmth and genuine care. One resident who has lived there two years noted, "I've come out of my shell" with help from staff members who are described as friendly and attentive. Multiple families highlight Vhaeda DeLeon as an exceptional employee who shows real dedication to residents and families alike. Activities organized by staff like Wendy and Kathy, including chorister performances and community events, are frequently mentioned as engaging and meaningful. The dining room has been improving, and families appreciate the range of dining options available to residents.

One family raised a significant concern: when their father developed behavioral issues related to Alzheimer's disease, the community required them to hire 24/7 private-pay caregivers in addition to paying regular rates, suggesting potential limitations in managing complex memory care needs. This experience stands in contrast to other families' positive transitions and satisfaction with the community atmosphere.

My dad was in memory care here and it was fine while he was docile and easy. When he started having some behavior issues because he has ALZHEIMER'S, they required we pay for our own 24/7 private pay caregivers, while also paying their exorbitant rates (staff was NOT paid well though). What is the point of a memory care facility that can’t manage Alzheimer’s patients? Don’t waste your money here. Corporate places don’t care about you or your loved one and only want your money.

Atria Activities are GREAT! The choristers are so special! The Dining Room has been improving steadily! Employees are greatly improved in the last 4 years. One really Special employee is Vhaeda DeLeon!!!As a former SNF Administrator I have watched her Sales ability. Obviously she loves elderly people and all our current residents too! So kind to relatives and POA. We are so lucky to have her at Atria!!! Another Special Employee is Chris, a server in the Dining Room. He is So courteous and especially kind to the new residents as well as the old residents. Thanks for listening.........Anita Zanotto

Atria Covell Gardens is a great place to live. I’ve been hear 2 years and I have come out of my shell. Starting with. Vada always there to help me, along with William. So friendly. Chris with finding a place to sit and eat with different residents. The residents are also friendly. I have made a few friends. Events with Wendy is fun. All the events Kathy puts together is fun and helpful. I couldn’t have found a better place to live.

My husband moved to memory care after we were living in Atria as a couple. We couldn’t be happier with the care he is getting. The director has put a fantastic team together and I am welcome all the time to be with him and enjoy the camaraderie and support. Caring for older people who struggle with memory loss and disabilities is a calling. It is not just a job and I see this everyday. Thank you Atria staff for providing this safe environment for my husband as we continue our happy marriage during this final phase of life.

We recently moved my mother in law to Atria and are happy with the transition. The facility is bright & full of energy. The staff is warm, caring and has made her feel part of a community. She enjoys the dining options. A happy place for this new chapter in her life.
