My mom has been at this facility recovering from a hip fracture for almost a month. My sister and I have been here daily supporting her through her recovery, which has also given us the chance to get to know the staff and observe the level of care provided. The rehab team has been excellent. My mom has made a lot of progress, and the therapists have been kind, patient, and encouraging, even on days when she didn’t feel motivated. The nurses and support staff have also been very attentive and helpful. In transparency, the facility does appear understaffed at times, especially during lunch when CNAs are assisting patients who need help eating. Despite that, the staff works hard and does their best to care for everyone. Overall, this place has been very good to my mom. Shout out to the activity team too! My mom loves playing bingo, and we’ve enjoyed activities like the Memorial Day BBQ, visits from the Rams cheerleaders, and even a candlelight dinner tonight. Community and engagement are also a big part of healing, and we truly appreciate the care and support she’s received.

The nurses and staff who work here are nice, but the problem is the management. You can tell from talking to the nurses that they want to care for the patients, but they are too overworked, stressed, (and probably underpaid) to do a good job. The people in charge don’t seem to offer the necessary leadership, training, and oversight to even make Burbank Rehab average. This facility is truly awful, and I regret that my 87 year-old mother was sent here after back surgery. After we checked my mom in, I explained to the staff that she has dementia, is lactose intolerant, and needs reminders at night to take out her hearing aids to charge them. They said that this would be put in her chart. But when we visited her the next day, we found a meal sitting by her bed with a tall glass of milk. I again reminded the staff that she can’t drink milk and is too confused not to remember this. But day after day, we saw that she was still being served milk at meals. Furthermore, the night staff failed to have her take out her hearing aids to charge them before she went to sleep. So every day of her stay she had dead hearing aids and couldn’t hear us. We even put notes up by her bed to remind the staff. Not only were they ignored, but they were torn down. One afternoon when my family arrived to visit, we found my mother lying in a very awkward position with no pillow. She said she had no feeling in her arms and couldn’t move them. I had to call the nurses in to help reposition her. This was a woman who just had back surgery. Who knows how long she was being ignored. I had to work with her arms for 10 minutes before she got her feeling back. After two weeks of being at this awful place, the day finally came for discharge. There was no formal consultation or update from the doctors or care manager. The nurse just handed us a bag of medication and said we should arrange to refill her antibiotics to treat her pneumonia. We’re like, “What pneumonia?!?!” Apparently a few days prior, they found pneumonia in her lungs— but nobody notified the family about it! We were obviously furious. We packed up her things but noticed a few items missing (including a nice vase we brought over for flowers). Even though we saw the vase by her bed the day before, the staff said they had no idea where it went. So if you are thinking of sending your loved ones (or even your enemies) to Burbank Rehab, I highly advise against it. Our experience with them was beyond dreadful. I’d give 0 stars if I could.

My mom recently stayed at Burbank Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, and we had a wonderful experience. Since she had never been in a skilled nursing facility before, she was very nervous, but the staff made her feel comfortable, supported, and truly cared for from the moment she arrived. The nurses, therapists, and team members were compassionate, attentive, and always took the time to check on her and make sure she was doing well. The facility is clean, organized, and the level of care they provide is excellent. I’m very grateful for how kind everyone was to my mom and would highly recommend them to anyone needing rehabilitation or skilled nursing care.

Excellent care was given to my mother.😁 The staff was considerate, patient, understanding, diligent and worked well as a team. If one saw a need, It was taken care of. We were well informed about medication changes. They also let us know if mom didn't want to take her pills. The staff was patient and consistent with their attempts to kindly encourage her to take her pills. The CNAs made sure that she was kept clean. The rooms were kept clean and sanitized. Her food needs were addressed and granted. The physical therapy was GREAT! After physical therapy, wether she was tired or not she was happy with what she was able to do. Mainly their encouragement. The entire staff was working together to make sure that the patients were all taken care of. We as a family can't say enough about how happy we are with the care that they gave Mom. The care that our mother received gave our family the confidence and peace of mind that we needed to do something as simple as getting a good night's sleep. Saying goodbye was difficult. Thank you so much for your kind care. ❤️❤️❤️

If I could put 0 stars I would. Place is beyond disgusting and unprofessional. They leave the seniors alone and unattended to the point they don't even know the health history or the sex of the patient . Multiple times I have been there there's patients crying out to get assistance to use the restroom and nurses telling them your nurse is on break just wait . They have rooms with so many violations. They also let me take out my father in law with no ID no information. I have no legal right yet they released him. Very concerning so in other words anyone can take out anyone. I will say the front staff was always very professional I can't say the same for the caregiving staff which is the most concerning. I would never ever consider leaving anyone in here. It's degrading . If you have a love one in this facility please check on them. They are being mistreated and not taken care off. This place is horrific and I hope patients speak up because I can't imagine abandoning a love one is such a disturbing place.i would also like to add that when I requested to take my father in law home GABRIEL stated if I took him against medical advice he would not be allowed care not even in a emergency room because he'll be a liability. So false so unprofessional and so cruel to try to scare people. Only reason it was even brought up was due to the unprofessional care he was declining rapidly.
