★☆☆☆☆ (1 Star) I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share our experience as my sister's advocate. My sister was transferred to this facility after being hospitalized for a serious bacterial infection that developed following surgery. She initially underwent surgery in June, was discharged, and was later readmitted to the hospital on June 29 when it became clear that her surgical wound was infected. She underwent another procedure on June 30, and cultures confirmed she had contracted a bacterial infection in the operating room. After identifying the bacteria, the hospital inserted a PICC line and started the appropriate IV antibiotics, which she must receive every four hours. The staff we met were courteous and kind, and I appreciate that. However, the condition of the facility and the admission process were extremely disappointing. When my sister arrived, she was placed in an old, dingy room that had a strong, unpleasant odor. The hallway and surrounding area also smelled unclean. For someone recovering from a serious bacterial infection, this was very concerning. She also has severe environmental allergies and claustrophobia, making this room even more inappropriate for her condition. In addition, after arriving, only her vital signs were taken. Her IV medications were not continued as scheduled, and we were told they were not available, despite the facility having advance notice that she had been approved for transfer. We selected this facility because it was presented as having a 5-star overall rating and a 5-star facility rating. Based on what we experienced, those ratings did not match the reality we encountered. Patients recovering from serious infections deserve a clean, sanitary environment and uninterrupted medical care. Unfortunately, that was not our experience, and I cannot recommend this facility.
