Service at the dining hall is poor. Often my mother must wait 10 minutes to get her first up of coffee in the morning. Edit: Service has improved. My mother is now very happy. I have updated the rating.

When my Dad broke his hip and ready to be released from skilled nursing, I knew I needed to find a place for him for respite care. After looking at many places I settled on Brookdale. I can't say enough good things about this location, the staff, and the management. From the moment my dad got to Brookdale the staff was amazing. Everyone was warm and welcoming. From the director and office staff helping with all the details of getting him settled, to the med techs to the activities director to the caregivers. The attention and care received was wonderful. Everyone is friendly and it is obvious that the staff enjoy what they do in the way they care for the residents. I would highly recommend Brookdale at Diablo Lodge.

One of favorite places to teach. Paula, the activities director offers unlimited, fun, creative classes throughout the day. I heard the food is very good, Diablo Lodge is very elegant, reminds me of a cruise ship. The residents are very happy!

Brookdale Diablo Lodge deserves the highest rating possible. As my 92 year old mom would say "Growing old is tough". As many people know, taking care of your elderly parents can be tough (although not as tough as growing old). Everyone on the Brookdale staff made it easier for my mom and for me. The dining staff made delicious and healthy meals, the med tech staff made sure my mom had her medicine, the care giver made sure my mom showered and made it to the dining room and the facility staff made sure my mom's clothes were washed weekly and her room was clean. They also made sure the building was clean and the grounds were beautifully kept. All of them showed my mom nothing but kindness and made her smile. All of them showed me nothing but kindness and made me smile. The director works TIRELESSLY to make sure Brookdale is a smooth running ship and is always available and responsive with whatever questions or concerns you have. I highly recommend Brookdale Diablo Lodge.
