It’s not all bad there. They really helped me get stronger to care for myself when I could not. The night CNA’s are so professional and incredibly sweet and empathetic. Jenna, Dee, Rae you guys are the best and made my stay there so tolerable. I will remember how helpful and kind you all were. ….

Grandmother was admitted for recovery here and the entire process was a nightmare. She went almost 14 days without so much as a sponge bath, was repeatedly left to go hungry because caretakers would "forget" to bring her tray and she was forced to sleep in dirty bedding that my mother and I had to change ourselves despite asking repeatedly to have it done by staff. The facility is dirty and undermanned, and the neglect my grandmother experienced resulted in her suffering a needless secondary infection. All attempts to call or email to report these problems were ignored. Do not let your family be taken here if you can afford to take them anywhere else.

Some aids are very kind, but those who are are few and far between and overworked. My aunt was admitted for long-term stay and during that time she was left well over a week without being bathed on numerous occasions, important medications were repeatedly late or "forgotten" entirely. Not to mention that she'd have accidents and would be left to sit in soiled clothes for hours. The food is not at all appropriate for people who're elderly, sick or in recovery and the the whole place generally feels like a place where people are simply dumped to die. I work in nursing and I understand that it can be a very difficult and at times thankless job, but this is unacceptable. Logan Health has caused so much damage to this valley. If you're able to find any other alternative for your loved one, I deeply urge you to seek treatment elsewhere.

Understaffed - no cohesion between shifts. Because they are understaffed no one knows the patients and the care is inconsistent. The guest restrooms need to be cleaned and the floors in patient rooms are never swept (unclean) in my opinion.

Do not let anyone you like or love go here unless you want them to die while getting bad care in a very dirty facility with poor medical care. The administration and medical staff don't want families there to be involved. There are some good therapists, CNAs and Nurses but also some of the worst you can imagine. Including a CNA whipping mom's eyeball with lift sling buckle while flinging it madly in the air by her face, not an accident, but angry CNA, for no known reason. They seem short staffed, but the administration does not care about the patients or staffing and just makes excuses for all the poor care of patients. The NP makes sure to only communicate with the patient, rather than family, even when patient is confused. NP refuses to actually listen to and believe the family, even though they've known their family member 65 yrs.or more. NP goes against what family wants by sneaking in orders for meds when family requests to be involved in those decisions. Of course, it could even be worse, but just one example is when call light is pushed for pt. to use toilet for having BM, patients waited 90 minutes for them to get her to the bathroom multiple times verified by multiple family members there. RN sat at nurses station with feet up on desk looking at cell phone, and young female aid and male nurse just busy chatting and flirting at station and wouldn't go help answer anyone's call lights. Forest Pod is much worse than Glacier Pod. We tried to get help for issues, but most concerns continued to be a problem. No food trays for patients if patient doesn't order ... even when patient is in bathroom, at therapy, sleeping, or too confused to come up with ideas with no list of actual choices. So no meal tray delivered to patient and no CNA or nurse even noticed, multiple times. If family wasn't there, patient would have just not been given a meal at all. Poopy wipes containers on overbed tray touching her juice and water glasses. Oxygen tubing left on dirty floor, then inserted in the patient's nose. No shower for 16 days and no bed bath offered. Linen not changed for all 16 days. No floor in patient room swept or mopped for 16 days. Using ineffective physical therapy assistant who asked patient every day what they should do today and only talked about their dog and their aches and pains rather than helping the patient/resident instead of using actual physical therapists. Therapy was skipped entirely on patients when that's what they are there for. So many more examples. Just stay away from this place. Your loved ones don't need to come out much worse than they went in when they're supposed to be rehabbing and improving. This place needs all new administration willing to hire more of actually smart, caring, hardworking staff, be bothered to actually train staff regarding basic hygiene, basic ways to treat patients, common sense, and insist on good care for patients.
