My mother-in-law was a Breakwater after having a terrible fall. I was there every weekend until she went home, and i have to say that the care, cleanliness, compassion, and dedication that I saw was top notch. The nursing staff was attentive, therapy was thorough, and housekeeping came into the room daily to clean. I had a complaint on a Saturday and Rebecca and the Administrator separately came to me to follow up.

My dear friend was at Breakwater Commons since July 2023 when it was built. She recently passed. The staff and care at BWC was exceptional. My friend had multiple physical issues that required a lot of time and special care. Everyone from the housecleaner to the Director gave her exceptional care. I was notified of changes in her status in a timely manner and kept abreast of her condition. She felt safe and happy there as the staff loved her and attended to her multitude of needs. The dietary staff made sure she was content as well with her meals which she truly appreciated. Her room was clean and fresh. My only complaint would be sometimes you couldn't get through on the phone to a nurse...but they were always attending to their residents when I visited, and that, thankfully, is the priority. Thank you BCW for all your words and acts of encouragement and the outstanding care given to our very loved friend.

Beware of this facility. Update- My association with this facility? Well, one of my family members lived here- and I have a BIG reason to believe this facility mistreats the elderly.

I was in this facility for only 6 days when they gave me a drug that I was clearly allergic. I ended up in the ICU for 5 days. I have requested numerous times since December of 2024 and weekly emails to receive my medical records. To date, I have not either received a call back or any communication from them. Needless to say I will be resorting to some form of communication with DHHS or an attorney.
