Our experience at Bluegrass Was one of the most remarkable things we have experienced. They have an entire staff that is joyful, kind, caring, and Attentive. Never once did we see anyone without a smile on their face. They treat all their short-term patients and long-term patients with such respect, dignity, And genuine care. Their physical therapists Are better than anywhere I have ever seen. My dad spent three weeks there and came home stronger than ever. He loved every minute of being there. I felt so comfortable knowing what good care he was receiving. I just can’t say enough about how wonderful these people are!

Though the facility is a bit dated I can only praise the staff. My mother in law was a patient there for about 4 days. It was a rehabilitation visit. The staff, nurses, social workers and management care was as good as any care she has ever gotten anywhere. Please don’t judge this facility by its cover. Once you see inside you will be amazed at the level of care and compassion. It was a wonderful experience for a woman that needed some special care. She received it at the highest level. Thanks to everyone who gave my mother in law exactly what she needed.

Employees like Ladonna Griffy and Deborah Gamil are why Bluegrass is the best. There both professional but, so kind and empathetic with the residents. One is the business office manager the other social services. They are perfect in there jobs. I don’t know if I could handle the screamers or having my office literally bombarded with residents in wheelchairs. Demanding attention now. Kudos to these two ladies.

I gave this facility a 3 star rating only bc of the sweet nurse that helped my dad when he needed it most. He was a direct transfer from the hospital to the rehabilitation center. And they helped him with some clothes to wear with his short stay. And it was impossible for me to take off work to take him any with working 11 hr shifts. However according to my father some of the staff have such a poor attitude, make everything they do seem like a chore, left a open wound uncovered and exposed to the elements outside of a sterile bandage for God only knows how long. When asked for it to be covered it was I will, or give me a minute, or in a little bit. But it wasn't til after ahift change it was covered! His bandaging had seeped through with infection (he had pre-arrival) and wasn't changed til the next day upon asking for it to be changed. Then when another nurse had went in to redress the area had wrapped his leg so tightly that it was physically hurting him causing the area to swell. When the nursing staff FINALLY decided to help, they had to cut it off instead of unraveling it and then just rewrap it. There were 3 layers that had to be cut off. I know they have their hands full with other residents in the facility with the repousse care and the full time residents. However if it was done right the first time, and a routine check up was preformed it could've been prevented.
