About Bickford of Lincoln

Bickford currently operates 65 Branches in 11 states with additional Branches in development. Our approximately 2,500 Bickford Family Members (our employees are family to us) love and care for nearly 3000 residents.

While seemingly impressive, growth and size have never been our goal. At the end of the day, all that matters to us is the happiness of the sweet little lady in apartment 406, because nearly 30 years ago that “someone” was our Mary Bickford.

A cupola atop each Bickford serves as a reminder that the branch is an extension of our residents' homes – we're simply the guests.

Mom was at Bickford of Lincoln for a few years. Her last year, being the toughest because of the dementia decline. One of the best things I found about Bickford, was the Mary Bs room. This is a place for more severe dementia patients as they get a lot of one on one, and the staff are all excellent. I cannot say enough about all staff, from nurses, housekeeping, med.aides, kitchen and the great administration staff. Thank you for what you did for my mom and many others.

My mother lived at Bickford for about 16 months before she passed away. I am very grateful for the compassion that the staff showed myself and my mom. She was accepted as her memory and her reality changed. I believe that the caregivers truly cared about her and her well-being. They were able to meet her where she was at and not try to change her to be different then her true self. I believe that she could feel the love she received, because I saw the way she smiled when more than one caregiver told her that they loved her. My heart is full of gratitude that she was given what she needed when she needed it, mentally and emotionally. Thank you a million times.

Bickford of Lincoln had been a Godsend to our family. Our father adapted quickly when he moved in. He was scared and missed home, but the staff all welcomed him with open arms. His memory has declined, and due to some health issues had to be placed in hospice care. Bickford was able to accommodate this so he did not have to leave during this phase in his life. I love that they integrate different levels of care together. The quiet ones sit with the chatty ones…it is a perfect blend. Our family will forever be thankful to Bickford!

Mom (Ruthie) was loved by all the staff and given excellent care. I feel they went above and beyond for her. In her last days, every one of the staff came back to say their goodbyes to her and to give their support to us. We are truly grateful for everyone at Bickford of Lincoln.
