I recently visited my father who is staying on the first floor of this nursing home, and I was absolutely horrified by what I saw. The facility is filthy—food was scattered everywhere, and the entire floor reeked of a terrible odor that made it difficult to even breathe. It’s heartbreaking to see the conditions in which the residents are expected to live. The staff is incredibly unresponsive; phone calls go unanswered for hours, if they are answered at all. When you finally do manage to get someone on the line or speak to a nurse in person, you’re met with an attitude that is dismissive at best and downright rude at worst. There is a complete lack of compassion, urgency, or professionalism. I would never recommend this place to anyone who cares about their loved ones. It’s genuinely upsetting and unacceptable that such poor standards of care are allowed to continue.

This place was a nightmare. I still have flashbacks of the bad care that I had nurses laughing at you because there's no meds for your pain. Mice running around like you're in their backyard filthy dirty narcissist CNA's don't care you can go dirty with your hair not wash for a whole week and nobody cares people eat in the dining room with Johnny's the people that live there are wearing Johnny's??? at suppertime when there's soup being served there's no spoons so how are you supposed to eat it on days where you eat a sandwich they have all the utensils that you need on a day where you have to cut a piece of meat there are no knives??? that doesn't even make sense to me. This place is a joke and they should not be opened. I even called the department of health and they're still open.that's crazy!! I had a major 4 1/2 hour surgery on my ankle and all my doctor wanted me to do was make sure that I put plenty of ice for swelling and my leg elevated and yet the nurses and CNA didn't even know while I was there every time I asked for an ice pack they thought that it was a big deal and would go and get it and then handed it off to another worker and say can you give this to the girl who broke her leg they didn't even know why I was there Please do not let anyone that you love go there please heed my warning.!!!

A friend is there for rehab, both PT and OT. Both therapists have been great. Patient and respectful. The staff are all so pleasant and kind. Ann Marie is very helpful, dedicated and so sincerely sweet.

I wouldn't give it one star!!! Our experience was bad. The Fatima hospital took steps to admit my dad so that he could recover his strength and this place would help him, only for 1 to 2 weeks. We arrived at about 5-6 pm. I didn't want to leave my dad just because he wasn't up to it, he really needed someone by his side, but I had to leave him with no options. We left my dad alone for the night. The next day, I arrived early to see how he was doing and spend the day with him to assist him, but the conditions I saw him in were depressing! I saw blood on my dad's sheets on the side of his legs, I don't understand, because he had nothing on his skin, and they don't put IVs in that place. I saw him alone, with yoga mats on the sides of the bed in case he fell off since he can't get up. We had asked this place to put rails on the bed and they said yes they would get them or if not they would get you a different bed that had rails which was a lie the maintenance person told me they didn't there were such things. To conclude, this place is lousy! It smells horrible and it really looks like a hospital for mental health, not for recovering and regaining strength! The next day, I got my dad out of this horrible place and took him home. Just because I asked for his vital signs to be taken, a serious problem was formed. Here at home, he's doing a hell of a lot better than the life expectancy our dad was given to us by certain Berkshire employees that dreadful day! We took my dad under our responsibility, we signed a document, and there weren't even wheelchairs available to transport him to my vehicle, it took a lot of work to get it and they didn't even help us sit him in the wheelchair, we, his family, did everything . The place smells so bad that my dad got that horrible smell impregnated in everything he was wearing.

I am here for rehab of my leg in 36 years ok and all I can say is that Food is terrible very little customer care I have to say there is about 2 or 3 between one nurse and 2 aids that I always saw doing there jobs with care, call light answering for patients is terrible I’ve had to wait as long as 1 hour after pressing my call light for help and it is filthy most of the time therapy is good I can say other than that this place is a joke employees are careless is sad to have people work in this environment whom have no desire to help just for the money. To work with people elderly and others with disabilities you must have a heart to whant to help others sadly that is not seein here , I would not recommend this place at all.
